Boston Family Photographer | Tess & Co.

Family

Andy, Asher, and I spent last weekend on a blink of a trip to Boston to spend time with Andy’s relatives for a Passover-ish get together.  We drove on Friday night and arrived just after midnight and left again early Sunday.  It wasn’t nearly enough time but we made the most of it.

Of course I brought my camera to capture pictures of the tiny cousins.  Tess is 9 months old; Asher is 18 months old.  Asher has had plenty of time in front of my lens and I found that I just couldn’t get enough of the super-cheeked, huge blue-eyed creature with the crazy hair.  Little Tess.

I think I witnessed her first experience with maracas.  She was appropriately thrilled.

The weather was fabulous for a spring session for Nora, Tal, and Tess.

You have to love family but you don’t have to like them.

Thankfully, Llama Llama brought them together.  (Bonus!  You’re welcome.)

And, just like that… it was time for us to go back to Philly.

Can’t wait to host you on our turf in June!

Julia’s water broke at a friend’s barbecue.  Not very polite, Julia.  After some laboring, pushing was only 15 minutes and then there was Mara (vs. 2.5 hours with big brother, James). Matt found the name Mara and they were sold.  Julia might credit The Crown for Mara’s middle name, Elizabeth.  It’s a gorgeous name. Little Mara makes great snortle sounds and cute baby sighs when she loses a sneeze. Mara’s nursery was James’ old s ...

Philadelphia Family Photographer | Museum of Art | Hudson & Co.
Pamela contacted me to photograph a lovely combination of events.  In the span of one week, her son, Hudson, was turning 11, graduating elementary school, and receiving a visit from his grandfather from Hong Kong.  She spoke of it as, “celebrating a milestone moment in time.” And it was.  The original plan was to go totally casual but Hudson had picked out a sharp blue and white striped blazer so they started off looking a little extra special together. There are big things coming up for the family.  Hudson will be going to sleepaway camp for the first time this summer and, later, going to a Minecraft summer camp.  I honestly ne ...
