Brittany + Justin engagement session in Delaware

Engagement

So I see this couple show up on motorcycles and think to myself, “I bet they’d be fun but no way that’s my couple. Who wants to be worried about helmet hair for their engagement session?” I text Brittany to get her ETA and receive, “We are here! By the bikes :)”. Awesome! And not a single trace of helmet head.

We met at Brecknock Park in Camden, Delaware and the session pretty much rocked. As well as defending her against spiders, Justin can put Brittany in fits of laughter. He’s a goofball and they play off of each other so well.

We had the kind of light that you get in winter. The kind that makes everything crisp and peach-colored. March came in as a lion and we got a very chilly evening to go along with that delicious lens-flare inducing light.

Brittany grew up right around the corner. She knew the park well. We walked through some paths with dappled light, ponds, and naked trees.

I really can’t wait for their beach wedding this May. They’re the perfect combination of affectionate and playful. It seems like they’ve known each other forever.

Oh, and Brittany has the most incredible light blue eyes.

And of course we had to get in some pics of the bikes. Brittany got her bike license just a few days before in the pouring rain. Incidentally, these colors are close to their wedding colors – turquoise and orange. Nothing ordinary for these two!

Yeah, they’re pretty great.

Brittany and Justin, see you two very, very soon! I’m sending good vibes your way for a very speedy recovery for Justin.

Oh blessed be the day, the month, the year, the season and the time, the hour, the instant, the gracious countryside, the place where I was struck by those two lovely eyes that bound me.

Philadelphia Engagement Photographer | Italian Market | Christina + Chris
Not everyone can just hop down a block for the most delicious fresh produce, meats, cheeses, and baked goods Philadelphia has to offer.  The Italian Market is an amazing place.  Christina and Chris live right there and take advantage of their magical little neighborhood all the time.  It seemed fitting that we use it for the backdrop to their engagement session. They knew early on that they were it for each other.  Chris, a basketball fan(atic), is friends with Christina’s sister from work.  He says he played the slow game, incorporating the four corners offense to get the defense (Christina) come to him.  Whatever the tactic, it obvi ...

Chester County Engagement Photographer | Longwood Gardens | Katie + Dave
Four years ago Katie and Dave met at a mutual friend’s dinner party. Truth be told, Dave wasn’t too smooth. They parted ways and reconnected a few years later on Facebook when he wished her a happy birthday and tried his luck again. This time it stuck. They met up for dinner at the same place of their first meeting and then wandered around the library browsing old books for sale for a dollar.I’m sure you can guess that things went well because I met up with them at Longwood Gardens for their engagement session on a chilly day this March during Orchid Extravaganza. They both live in Michigan now but Katie grew up right around the corner a ...
