Bucks County Wedding Photographer | Holly Hedge Estate | Kelsie + Devin

Wedding

As I learned at their engagement session at Longwood Gardens last year, Kelsie and Devin are casual and goofy.  There is no pretension whatsoever and they toy with each other.  I wondered how they would create their wedding at Holly Hedge Estate, a venue not ostentatious but incredibly classy and beautiful.  As you’ll see, they pulled it off to perfection!

Kelsie went to one dress shop and it all came down to a lace gown and this strapless beaded number.  She figured she only lives once so she went for the glamor!

I love the intricate detail on their Verragio engagement and wedding ring set.

I really can’t get enough of this Holly Hedge.  It’s one of my favorites.  The old barn has the most incredible windows.  I could take pictures there all day!

Devin was cool as a cucumber.  To be honest, I’m not sure he’s ever been anything else.

They shared their first look and we explored the grounds and yes, took more time with those windows!

We even went to a little glen that I had never seen before.

Despite the threat of rain, Kelsie and Devin were able to have their ceremony outdoors on a wonderfully overcast day.  The soft skies made all of the surrounding green especially vibrant.  I’ve seen ceremonies at Holly Hedge a few different ways.  This one was set in the courtyard under majestic trees.

Their cocktail hour featured a professional cigar roller.  It was a fantastic touch for guests!

Their reception was lovely.  Inside the new barn were garlands of greenery covering the beams in the ceiling.  Centerpieces were placed on blue striped and toile tablecloths.  Guest seating cards were propped in live grass and surrounded by family wedding pictures on the welcome table.

After starting the night off with “Perfect” by Ed Sheeran and speeches, guests shook and shimmied all night long!

I feel pretty lucky that they were up for going out with me for a few minutes after the sun set to grab a few shots with Devin’s cigar and to embrace the quiet of the Bucks county spring night.

It was such a fantastic day!  Thank you for inviting me to spend it with you two!

Baby, I’m dancing in the dark with you between my arms
Barefoot on the grass, listening to our favorite song
When you said you looked a mess, I whispered underneath my breath
But you heard it, darling, you look perfect tonight

Philadelphia Wedding Photographer | DoubleTree Hotel | Becca + Nick
If Snow White were real, I’m fairly certain she would look like Becca. Becca was absolutely gorgeous and her wedding to Nick was filled with personal touches, unseasonably warm weather (a few days before Frankenstorm, no less), and a group that knew how to rock it out like it was their job.I arrived at the Philadelphia DoubleTree Hotel to spend time with Becca and the ladies before the ceremony.Dreamy, fluffy, bowed Badgley Mischkas? Yes, please!Nick wrote a note for Becca to read before the ceremony. It included his famous doodles of them. Completely adorable! Please note Becca’s “something blue” toenails and pearls borrowed from her new ...
