Engagement Session at Chrissy Field

Engagement

This past weekend I had an engagement session with a great couple who made the drive from Union City to Chrissy Field for Golden Hour (what photographers refer to as the hour before sunset when everything gets a beautiful golden glow). They have been dating for 7 years (she’s a very patient woman). Their first meeting story was great: he threatened to throw her over a balcony at a friend’s party. What an introduction. You could say he literally swept her off her feet! (Okay, that was really bad.) It was beautiful out and we made the most of the clear skies to get the Golden Gate Bridge in a few pictures.
She’s short so I couldn’t resist a tip-toe shot. (Not that I have any room to talk, just being barely 5 feet myself!)
I love going to Chrissy Field because it has so many great areas. I love grungy old industrial buildings – they just make a great backdrop.
They marry this fall and I’m so happy for them. It was incredibly obvious that they’re truly in love.

All the best, guys!

Philadelphia Engagement Photographer | Art Museum | Carly + Billy
Carly and Billy are getting married this weekend at the Bellevue.  I have good reason to believe it’s going to be a gorgeous event (and hopefully Carly’s mother, Fern, will be able to sit back and just enjoy the fruits of her labor.  We’ll see about that.). I met up with them the other week for their engagement pictures around the Art Museum.  We had a beautiful breezy, sunny day and my lovebirds couldn’t have been better!  We started with a stroll down Boathouse Row. They started dating 7 years ago in college.  They had been in the same circle of friends since freshman year but didn’t become an item til later on. Car ...

Engagement Photography in Philadelphia: Carrie + Matt
Like so many couples, Carrie and Matt were set up by some mutual friends. Great intuition on the part of the friends because they hit it off and flourished in a relationship that became long distance just 5 months after meeting. The way they act together, it’s like they were made for one another. Both have family in California, where they will be married this October. Matt proposed at the San Francisco restaurant where they had their first date (the adorable L’Osteria in North Beach). They chose Philadelphia for their engagement pictures. They’ve made a home here while Matt was in law school (and Carrie was still travelling all over the pla ...

Wilmington Engagement Photographer | Brandywine Creek State Park | Michelle + Chris
This Delaware engagement session at Brandywine Creek State Park couldn’t have been any better.  The fall day was incredible- there wasn’t a single cloud in the sky and the temperature was unusually warm and pleasant for fall.  It was my first meeting with Michelle and Chris.  I hate to use “cute” when not speaking of puppies and babies but, man, these two topped the adorable charts. They met while attending the University of Delaware.  Interestingly, they had both attended the same high school (and were both on the track and field team) but never ran into one another.  Chris heard that there were other people from his alma mater at UD ...
