Extended Engagement Session at Philadelphia Art Museum: Dan + Kathy

Engagement

Dan and Kathy met while in med school at Drexel University. They hung out in groups but found themselves hanging out with each other all the time. They had their first date at a sushi restaurant where Dan shot edamame at some other diners. It was at Haru where he proposed to Kathy 3 years later (he had asked her parents’ permission while on a trip out to the west coast not long before).

Dan will be moving to LA very soon to start his residency. Fingers are crossed that Kathy will be matched somewhere close by when she graduates next year. It was important to them that their engagement session be a Philadelphia engagement session as this was where their love blossomed. We had an extended engagement session all around, behind, and in front of the Philadelphia Museum of Art. We strolled through Waterworks, the grounds of the museum, the parkway, and the azalea garden. There are so many incredible photo ops in such a small space!

What’s a city engagement session without a photobomber thrown in for good measure?

Dan and Kathy are foodies and love checking out Philly’s restaurant week. And Dan is big into rock climbing. This was about as good as I could get for him without getting us arrested.

Once upon a time when she actually had time, Kathy was a dancer. Yeah, no kidding! Dan has some moves himself – he “wiggles”.

The weather threatened a rainout but we stayed dry and had great overcast skies providing the perfect softbox for us.

We travelled all around, even hitting up the Ben Franklin Parkway to get some quintessential Philly in the e-session.

What you can’t see is that these are travel books – Philadelphia and NYC.

Dan and Kathy, thank you so much for a great evening! I am in love with all of the images from this session. Dan, safe travels and best of luck in your life out west. Kathy, hopefully you’ll find a few moments to get your groove on. Best of luck to you in your last year here.

Doubt truth to be a liar;
But never doubt that I love.

Here’s a story of a boy and girl who met in 6th grade at St. Norbert’s. The boy apparently told his friends that he would marry the girl. The boy and girl began dating their senior year of high school. They’ve been together 8 years now and will be getting married this May at that same grade school where they met and where he first proposed to her (more on that later).Andrea and John are delightful. They’re so easy going and so in sync with each other (what a surprise, right?). He calls her Toots (which I love) and she calls him Peanut (which he doesn’t love). Their first date was to see Big Fish and then dinner at Maggianos with a few o ...
