Jeannie + Ray: Wedding In Fairfield with Julie Cheshire

Wedding

What is not to love about Jeannie & Ray? They are just the most adorable, sweetest people you could ever meet. Julie of Julie Cheshire Photography and I shot their engagement session last year in Golden Gate Park and we were just so surprised that their wedding was already upon us. Here’s a glimpse of their engagement pics.

They were just as sweet as we had remembered. Jeannie is just beautiful. She is constantly smiling and is just a kind, genuine person. We were with her as she got ready for her big day. (Her Jimmy Choos were just to die for!)

I absolutely loved the flower she had in her hair. This is actually one of my favorite pictures of the day.

She couldn’t have asked for a better day. Not too hot, not too cold. The event was held at Green Valley Country Club in Fairfield. The setting was beautiful.

I loved the girls’ bouquets. The bright yellow aster looked fabulous against the espresso-colored satin gowns.

We wandered around the golf course after the ceremony for some shots of just them and we only got shooed off the course once!

I really, really liked the touches they gave to their reception. The favors were little jars of walnuts from ray’s family’s farm. And all of the tables were named after places from Lord of the Rings. There was of course Gondor and The Shire among others. Too cool!

They danced their first dance to 311’s Love Song, Jeannie beaming the whole time.

There were some excellent toasts, including one by Ray’s brother and best man. He brought out Ray’s adolescent poster of Carmen Electra and bid her farewell since ray now had a far more important female in his life.

And then the party was on! It was a great group of people and they had the dance floor packed all night long with some fancy stepping and lots of laughter. (And I think they had a little captain in them by the end.)

It was a great day and, after 8 years of dating, they were finally husband and wife! Thanks, Jeannie and Ray, you guys were awesome!

However far away, I will always love you
However long I stay, I will always love you
Whatever words I say, I will always love you
I will always love you
311, Love Song

Bucks County Wedding Photographer | Aldie Mansion | Gabi + Kristof
Gabi and Kristof had so many flourishes for their Aldie Mansion wedding to make it all theirs.  So much creativity and musical references and I don’t even know if I’ll be able to share them all in this one post.  But here it goes! We started pictures at Gabi’s parents’ house in Doylestown.  Gabi, the ever stylish one, donned bright red lipstick and a gorgeous lace sleeved overlay over her wedding gown.  I love that sleeves are coming back into fashion and Gabi managed to seamlessly blend several eras into the day.  The bride herself was stunningly vintage. The sapphire and diamond bracelet and earrings that she wore fit with her eng ...

Philadelphia Wedding Photographer | Knowlton Mansion | Casey + Eric
125 guests and several continents arrived to celebrate Casey and Eric’s wedding at the beautiful Knowlton Mansion in Northeast Philly. (Remember their wintery Princeton engagement session?) You’d never know this 130+ year old mansion was there unless you were looking for it and once you find it, BAM!, you’re presented with this slate roofed, three story Victorian masterpiece with brass chandeliers, hardwood floors, stained glass windows, and manicured gardens. It’s kind of crazy.Casey, Eric, and guests gathered here on what would have been Casey’s grandparents’ 64 wedding anniversary. She knew of the venue because her grandparents used to ...
