Main Line Engagement Photographer | Ridley Creek State Park | Christina + Jason
Engagement
I think I might have found a new favorite location for engagement pictures. On second thought, it’s entirely possible that I loved my session with Christina and Jason because of them. And Tessa.
We went to Ridley Creek State Park on an exceptionally gorgeous afternoon with their energetic German Shorthair Pointer (apologies for the redundancy there), Tessa. She is 3 years old, beautiful, and found the entire situation UN-FREAKING-BELIEVEABLE!!!
Jason had gotten the dog to help him pick up chicks. Christina and Jason started dating the very next week. Kudos, Tess!
The two met tailgating (Christina and Jason, not Tessa and Jason. That would be weird.) and were friends for several years. He asked her out and she told him to wait on it and ask again later. So he came back the next day, asked her out, and they’ve been together ever since.
In a somewhat similar fashion, Jason was planning the proposal one night after Christina came home from work. He called her into the bedroom to “help him with the laundry.” She was in a foul mood that day and yelled back that she was making dinner and she’d do it later. He decided to put it off.
…until the next day. He proposed the next morning before she went to work with this GORGEOUS emerald cut diamond ring. Though excited, she left on time and ended up in a monstrous traffic jam, missing her morning meeting anyway.
They live in Philly and run together several times a week and can be seen at the dog park often.
He knew that she was The One during a particularly stressful time of selling his house and living out of suitcases. They managed it and they’ll be tying the knot next September at Villanova. I cannot wait!
“I want you any way I can get you. Not because you’re beautiful or clever or kind or adorable, although devil knows you’re all those things. I want you because there’s no one else like you, and I don’t ever want to start a day without seeing you.”
