A very wet spring day wasn’t going to stand in the way of an amazing wedding day for Lindi and Michael. To be honest, there wasn’t much that was going to get in their way. The venue was Peachtree & Ward’s lovely POMME, a refined and unique space in Radnor, PA. It is nestled back amongst trees with a pond and stream running in front of the property (swans included!). They had just finished construction on the space a few days prior and the transformation was nothing short of miraculous. I still don’t know how many elves they brought in to make the place flawless!
As for the beautiful bride, very little transformation was needed. Lindi is beautiful and so, so sweet. I loved the peony colored (pale pink) and lace gown that she chose. It was the very first one she tried on.
Radiant, no?
As I saw in their engagement session last year at Haverford College, Michael is absolutely smitten with Lindi.
We bolted outside for a few minutes to get some shots on the bridge in the rain.
Beautiful Blooms did such a magnificent job with the white florals (wait til you see the centerpieces).
They held the ketubah signing downstairs before the ceremony.
There were so many personal aspects of their conservative Jewish wedding that I really loved. The ring used to wed belonged to Lindi’s late grandmother. The chuppah was handmade by her grandmother for all of the grandchildren to use for their weddings. All of the music was typical South African wedding music (her parents are South African), her mother’s best friend made the bag for the glass, her uncle Dave sang the last of the seven blessings.
After the ceremony, Lindi kicked off her glittery peep-toes for something a little more, um, practical. Both Lindi and Michael are great athletes so some platform wedge bridal sneakers were just the right call for the day!
During cocktail hour, the team worked to morph the room into a spectacular reception dining room. Lindi’s mother found the pretty, low votive candelabras.
Lindi and Michael were introduced and shared their first dance to “Wonderful Tonight” by Eric Clapton.
Rousing Klezmer music filled the evening and had guests on their feet.
How perfect are these cake accessories?
Since Michael was the last of his siblings to marry, a crowning ceremony was held for his parents. The band noted that it was the first time they had seen actual Burger King crowns used for the event.
It was an altogether beautiful day and night. With so much laughter and happiness, the only thing missing was sweet Tobi. Congratulations, Lindi and Michael!
I feel wonderful because I see
The love light in your eyes.
And the wonder of it all
Is that you just don’t realize how much I love you.
