I celebrated an incredible wedding with Lindsay and Jordan at Tyler Arboretum in Media, PA last month. I almost can’t get over how beautiful everything was. From Lindsay’s stunning curly updo (seriously keeping this one for my files!) and two sashes to Jordan’s timely recovery to the fabulous weather that day. There were smiles in every direction and utter perfection. They live in Austin, Texas now but chose to have their wedding closer to where they met in high school so many years ago and the place they call “home”, Pennsylvania.
Think back a few months ago and you’ll remember Lindsay and Jordan’s engagement session at Valley Forge Park (see if you can spot a picture or two from that session at the wedding). This is the same beautiful couple, this time celebrating their new life together as husband and wife.
I was all about Lindsay and Jordan’s invitations (which they designed themselves). The envelope liner displayed their family trees. How have I never seen this before?! Pure genius!
It was a group effort to work the steamer and get the little wrinkles out of Lindsay’s long veil.
And here is one of the two sashes Lindsay wore. The reception one was exactly the same but in darker, fall colors. They were beautiful.
Jordan was quite dapper himself. I love this image from my second shooter, Georgi.
We were great on time and were able to get some bridal party and family formals covered before the ceremony.
Lindsay was a vision!
And her bouquet by Marcus Hook Florist was a gorgeous combination of peach and white roses, plum calla lilies, and eucalyptus.
The outdoor ceremony was had moments of humor, solemnity, grace, and pure love. It was presided over by a friend and pastor that the family had known for years.
The bridal party seemed like they had all known each other since birth.
After the formals, the newlyweds and I wandered off to get lost around the incredible grounds of the arboretum. I could do an entire post of the images we got.
We were swept up to the rustic reception on the tented terrace. String lights were overhead and burlap runners with centerpieces of purple tapers and peach roses and white hydrangea. Lindsay and her mother pretty much handmade everything – the table settings, favors, vases, etc.
I’m still swooning over this blissful entrance.
Lindsay and Jordan shared their first dance to Adele’s “Make You Feel My Love”. I heart this song so much!
We had a glorious evening of hilarious and touching toasts and partying like you wouldn’t believe!
Lindsay’s father made the cake stand. It was a beautiful and intricately carved wood piece that Lindsay absolutely cherished.
And they partying I mentioned? Here’s but a glimpse of what went down!
It was such a beautiful day. Just everything. I would wrap this wedding up and revisit it all the time if I could (oh wait, I can… I have the pictures!). Lindsay and Jordan, thank you so much and congratulations!
I could make you happy
Make your dreams come true
Nothing that I wouldn’t do
Go to the ends of the Earth for you
To make you feel my love,
To make you feel my love
~ Adele, “Make You Feel My Love”
