New Jersey Newborn Photographer | Carter

Family

Janene and Greg were my couple crush a few years back when I met them for their freaking amazing engagement session and then again for their wedding (the Philly Phanatic was in attendance). I was so excited when I heard they they were pregnant and psyched when I got the news that the little one was born and that I’d be able to photograph him!

I got to visit little Carter at just a few days old. He was a sweet, cuddly, and holy-cow-so-smiley bundle of mush.

His nursery was decked out in 100 Aker Woods style with Pooh Bears, Piglets, and Tiggers around with a few choice quotes.

The joy and awe were palpable.  I think these are the faces every newborn parents make.

With the exception of a very messy mishap early on, Carter was fabulous.

Greg forgave him quickly.

Janene and Greg had the patience to wait until the birth to know the sex of the baby. Greg got the honor of announcing it to Janene after a very long and arduous labor.

I adore this one of the three of them in the nursery.

At the end of the session we figured it couldn’t hurt to put Carter into one last outfit: a tiny Batman onesie complete with cape. You should have seen Greg’s face light up. As if that wasn’t enough, I insisted Greg put on his Batman costume and make this a family thing! Janene just rolled her eyes at her boys.

But really, this Santa Baby at just days old had grins big enough to make any heart grow three sizes.

Philadelphia newborn photographer | Chestnut Hill | Deirdre
Little Deirdre Quinn made a fashionably late grand entrance to the world only one day after her due date.  She arrived with a surprise, namely that she was a she.  Everyone was absolutely convinced that Moira and Brett’s wee one would be a boy. But after putting mom and dad (especially mom) through some work, she arrived a perfect and beautiful 8lbs. 3 oz. I met up with the whole family just a few short weeks after Moira’s maternity session at their home in Chestnut Hill, Philadelphia. I learned that D is a snorter.  Sure, she coos gurgles but she is a snorter.  She grunted, snorted, and snored her way through our se ...

Philadelphia Newborn Photographer | Fishtown | Harper
Becky and Josh’s newborn session was held on a rainy day in their Fishtown home.  The baby was less than two weeks old.  When I arrived, Becky bounded down the stairs to greet me.  I thought I must have been in the wrong house.  She moved around with complete ease.  (A total jerk, I know!) The windowlight was perfection that day.  Soft light fell on this brand new family and I could not get enough! Josh and Becky thought they were having a boy for sure.  Everyone thought so.  The way she carried the baby, that she didn’t lose any of her good looks, cravings, etc.  All signs pointed to boy. And then she arrived.  Harper Vale. ...

Philadelphia Family Photographer | 1 year | Jack
I have been lucky enough to follow this little man through the past year and it has been extraordinary.  Here is Jack at his newborn session: I visited him six months later and saw this: This time we had Mom and Dad around and we took in some morning rays at Spruce Street Harbor Park in Philadelphia for Jack's 1 year session.  The hammocks were a little unsettling. Jack’s eyes are just as blue and vibrant as ever and, looking back from the beginning, it is wild to see him grow up from a tiny little peanut to a little boy (with so many teeth!). As always, he was a delight.  Even through some colds and road trips, ...
