To me, November means cold and crisp. In San Francisco it can mean cold and foggy. Very cold and very foggy. These pictures were taken on the Marin side of the Golden Gate Bridge on a frigid day when the fog was so thick, you could hardly see five feet in front of you. Serious fog.

Enjoy!

I have loved living in the San Francisco Bay Area. It’s not all peaches and plentiful parking but it has been a fabulous place to live and, if the conditions were right, I would stay here forever.

I look forward to moving to Pennsylvania for the new year, but there will always be a soft spot in my heart for this area and all of the wonderful people I’ve met during my stay here.

“There are so many beautiful parts of the world . . . Thailand, Italy, the south of France. There are places in Spain that are astonishing. But here . . . 25 miles and you go up on Mount Tam to see the fog come in; 25 miles the other direction and you’re somewhere else that takes your breath away. There’s no question this is where I want to live. Never has been.”

And I love Pottery Barn but I really wish they wouldn't cram so much stuff into their pictures.I'll order all of the following, please:My kitchens (that's right, I'll have several)Bedrooms(Note the canopy bed. I saw this pic in the book The Comforts of Home by Atlanta Bartlett and I've been obsessed with this bedroom ever since! The bed, white w ...
