Sometimes I just get really lucky with couples. This was the case with Gabi and Kristopher. I met them at a bridal show at Aldie Mansion a while back. We hit it off but pricing was an issue and we parted ways. I got an email a few months ago that they had booked with another photographer who had since gotten pregnant and was due very near their date. I was thrilled that I was still available and this time we made things legit.
While many couples wait for warmer weather for their engagement sessions, Gabi and Kristopher opted for a snowy day at the park near their house in West Chester. My fingers were frosty but I am IN LOVE with what we got! The radically different change of scenery made for some amazing pictures.
See your yourself!
Should I have mentioned that they are Red Sox fans? They are both quite into sports, Gabi having played practically all of them at some point in her life.
These two were totally playful. We came to a playground and figured, “why not?”
Both have had traumatic incidents with swings but I like to think that, together, we worked through the problems.
The two met at Ursinus College five years ago through mutual friends. She had her eye on him and he came around to ask her out. They went out for sushi for their first date when Kristof realized he had forgotten his wallet. That’s one way to ensure a date #2.
I insisted we make a detour for this amazing tree-lined path.
Who didn’t see this coming?
In August of 2012 they took a long trip to Las Vegas and San Francisco. It was in gorgeous Carmel, CA that he popped the question with an equally gorgeous (and dazzlingly unique) topaz engagement ring.
I am so looking forward to seeing them again in just a few months for their wedding at Aldie Mansion!
