I got to be let in on one of the most romantic dates ever. Chris contacted me a few weeks ago and wanted me to get some candids of Himself and his girlfriend, Sheila, going on a date as a complete surprise to her. Chris’ idea was ice skating and I loved it.
It was the morning of New Year’s Eve and I got to the River Rink at Penn’s Landing to scope out a great spot to be able to photograph them without being noticed. I sweet talked some of the people setting up fireworks to let me slip into their area for a better view.
I had been texting with Chris to get an idea for what they were wearing so that I could spot them coming. I saw them and Sheila was looking absolutely jubilant the entire time. She was practically skipping across the parking lot on the way to the rink.
I had been assured ahead of time that they were “mushy” and didn’t mind a little PDA. Score!
Chris revealed what was going on and we spent some time on that chilly morning getting some closer pictures of the two of them along the water.
What a great time. It was so much fun being a photo ninja and capturing completely personal moments of these two. Chris, thanks so much for including me in your plan. Sheila, you’ve got a great one!
