Philadelphia Wedding Photographer | Commodore Barry Club | Cassie + Paulo

Wedding

Cassie is spunky; Paulo is reserved. Cassie has a constant grin across her face; Paulo shares sly smiles if you’re paying attention. Together they’re fantastic. Remember their soccer/futebol engagement session around the Art Museum? They were married a few weeks ago and I had the honor of being there to photograph it.

I started at Cassie’s parents’ house in Lafayette Hill. The house was all aflutter with friends, family, and ten bridesmaids.

Cassie’s something old was her great grandmother’s necklace (borrowed was her sister, Rosie’s, veil, blue was her brother in law’s handkerchief). The bracelet she wore that day was a wedding present from Paulo.

This is what you do when you see your father on your wedding day and you both start crying.

As is family tradition, her father made peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for the group.

I really can’t say enough about Cassie. She’s infectious in the best possible way. She looks absolutely stately and gorgeous as if she should be a ballerina or model but she’s so easy going and people in her sphere just fall into ease. It’s crazy to see. I can completely understand what happened with Paulo. He didn’t stand a chance. Her millions of faces alone are a photographer’s dream.

We gathered at Holy Cross Church in Mt. Airy for their Catholic wedding ceremony.

The day was warm but the bridal party loaded up and moved on to Allen’s Train Station for some pictures. The colors, rust, lines, and light were absolutely perfect!

We moved on to the 300 person reception at the Commodore Barry Club (aka The Irish Center), the same venue her sisters used when they got married.

Cassie and Paulo were introduced as husband and wife and danced their first song to Wonderful by Josh Rouse.

I am in love with so many of the pictures from Cassie’s dance with her father.

There was a pretty incredible anniversary dance that ended with two couples who had each been married for 56 years!

Then we rocked it out. Hard.

Thanks so much for inviting me to be a part of this fantastic celebration. Cassie and Paulo, you two are the bee’s knees! Congratulations!

Oftentimes I sit and wonder
As I gaze out over yonder
I’m so crazy about you
So crazy and it’s true
I think you’re wonderful
Don’t change
I think you’re wonderful
Don’t change your way
I think you’re wonderful
Don’t change your way at all

Delaware County Wedding Photographer | Gables at Chadds Ford | Oz-inspired Styled Shoot
It’s not every day that I get to show up in a faraway land and just play with colors, textures, and some of the most amazing people in the wedding industry (actually, it happens more than is probably fair!).I was chatting with Sarah of Juniper & Dash late last year and came up with the idea for a beautiful styled wedding shoot inspired by Disney’s new Oz: the Great and Powerful. We led with an emerald green (oh yes, this was before Pantone came out with their color of the year) with accents of glistening gold and poppy red.We gathered a great and powerful team and created a magical shoot that sparkles with details and beauty. The talent ...

Lehigh Valley Wedding Photographer | Bear Creek Mountain Resort | Julie & Chuck
Julie and Chuck are nontraditional. They’re about as low key as you can get while still throwing a gorgeous wedding. They chose Bear Creek Mountain Resort for their wedding venue since the two of them go snowboarding there all the time. It was raining all week leading up to the wedding but that day was beautiful – sun and stunning blue skies. You might remember these two from their beachy engagement pictures from Ocean City, MD. We got the shore and the mountains represented. They saw each other long before the ceremony that day and they were a-okay with that. We did do a first look for Chuck’s first time seeing Julie in the dress.  ...
