I was so honored to be able to photograph Anna and Nick’s wedding a few weeks ago at Philadelphia City Hall. The short, intimate ceremony started a bit late but was nonetheless beautiful and surrounded by their closest family and friends.
Anna and Nick have been together since high school (over 11 years) and have finally decided to tie the knot. He proposed on his birthday (Mother’s Day coincidentally) as they were out camping. Anna tells it as he had many opportunities with great, romantic views but he popped the question by a porta potty. I kinda think that makes for a far better story.
Anna contacted me and knew that there was one picture that she absolutely wanted – the one in the incredible stairwells of City Hall.
I couldn’t help but capture a few more while we were there. She looked incredible in that long, flowing gown.
Back in the waiting room, we laughed and patiently anticipated the ceremony.
We went outside for some classic Philly shots. She didn’t want LOVE Park but you just can’t resist the beauty of Broad Street. (Hint: spot the pooch.)
We looped around back to City Hall for some more of just the two of them.
They were just wonderful and I can’t wait to hear all about the next exciting thing from this family: the arrival of little Nicholas due this Christmas (Nicholas’ mother’s birthday). So many congratulations, you two!
