Triana + Ankur: Engagement session at Longwood Gardens

Engagement

It’s adorably classic: they lived in the same dorm freshman year at Rutgers and they’ve been together ever since. That was over 8 years ago and they’ll be having their wedding at Philadelphia City Hall next month.

The two just seem so comfortable and happy with each other. They take walks along the Schuykill together. They’re huge movie buffs. They happen to be really into wizards and vampires (Triana is Team Edward, by the way, though she’s no fan of RPatz). She has a kindle so she can bear that goofy grin on the train without anyone really knowing it’s due to teen romances. (And I admit, I totally geeked out on this too!)

We met at Longwood Gardens in Kennett Square the other week for their engagement pictures. The place was in full springtime bloom. We strolled through the conservatory for a little while.

The weather was just right for us to be outside. There were people wandering around the grounds but we were able to find a lot of places to ourselves.

We hit a glorious patch of cherry blossoms and forsythia. If this doesn’t say spring, I don’t know what does!

Triana had only one request: daffodils!

And how could you not fall in love with a sea of purple flowers?!

I can’t wait to see what’s in store for their intimate wedding in May. You won’t want to miss these two! Triana and Ankur, see you soon!

I’m here, and I love you. I have always loved you, and I will always love you. I was thinking of you, seeing your face in my mind, every second that I was away.

Philadelphia Engagement Photographer | Old City + FDR Park | Elise + Eddie
Eddie is the publisher of Philly Current Magazine and the graphic designer head honcho at Loose Leaf Concepts who makes things pretty.  He might be a familiar face if you recall Lisa + Jeff’s Ritz Carlton fusion wedding (Eddie, Lisa’s brother, was her man of honor). Elise is a child life specialist at CHOP who gives little people better lives. Individually they’re pretty great.  When they met at a Philadelphia-based Canada Day party a few years ago, the universe did a happy dance (to Oh, Canada).  This was a great event because much happiness, dancing (so much dancing), and more Catholic/Jewish fusion was on the horizon. So I met up ...

Lisa + Mike’s Engagement Session around Rittenhouse Square
Lisa and Mike spent Labor Day weekend buying appliances for their new place and wandering around Rittenhouse Square for their engagement session with me. Their e-session is particularly special because it chronicles meaningful places from early in their courtship. We started by this dingy side street near the train tracks around the corner from their office. I think it's pretty beautiful despite the rust and litter. Then we headed on to where they met – Independence Blue Cross. They worked in different departments but one particular job made their paths cross…We scoped out La Colombe, the first place they had coffee together. It must be great ...
