Wedding Photography at Radisson Warwick in Philadelphia, PA: Beverly + Charles
Wedding
Beverly and Chuck absolutely light up around each other. I’ve never seen so much beaming as I did on their wedding day. Remember that cute couple from the engagement session in Rittenhouse Square with the adorable golden retriever, Emma. Yep, this is them. Sadly, Emma did not join us for the wedding festivities but the day was spectacular nonetheless. Lisa from Proud to Plan had the day looking and running spectacularly! What a difference a coordinator can make!
I started with the ladies at the Radisson Warwick in Philly. Bev was gorgeous. Her original gown wasn’t quite right so she went looking again on a whim and fell in love with this beautiful Melissa Sweet number. It looked incredible on her.
The flowers by Precious Petals were beautiful. Bev’s fragrant bouquet of whites was composed of freesia, waxflower, and peonies. The bridesmaids held pink bunches wrapped in the extra watermelon-colored satin from their gowns.
Meanwhile, the guys got ready at the house and headed over to the church.
The Methodist service was held at the First Baptist Church of Philadelphia. Don’t you just love those red doors?
It was especially important that I get Chuck’s reaction to Bev walking down the aisle. I can see why…
Tell me these doors aren’t incredible!
We took the bridal party and headed down to Rittenhouse Square. I can’t get enough of this crowd picture as we walked past Parc.
And I adore this one too. All day long they referred to each other as “my husband” and “my wife”.
It sprinkled for about 30 seconds while we were at the park taking formals. It passed and then we got a crazy pollen-infused windstorm. I would apologize for posting this picture but I don’t have any remorse at all. Love it!
We were circled a few times by curious locals.
And even serenaded by a park violinist who began playing “Here Comes the Bride” when he saw us.
We made our way back to the ever-delightful Radisson Plaza Warwick Hotel for cocktail hour and the reception.
Each time I shoot there, the place is transformed into something different. This time the gold chiavari chairs paired beautifully with the chandelier and gold threaded linens. The spectacular uplighting all around the room (way to go, Synergetic!) was the icing on the cake!
And speaking of wedding cake… Bev painstakingly painted the bride as a brunette.
The tables were named after places around Philly of importance to the couple. Here is the head table:
The bridal party was introduced and Bev and Chuck danced their first song to “Crazy Love” by Van Morrison.
A blessing and a few toasts later (where we learned of Chuck “the Beast’s” ferocious study habits) and we had dinner.
Matt from Synergetic had the dance floor packed all night long and this group got down!
What an incredible day! Husband and wife, congratulations! I hope the light you have for each other grows stronger with each day.
I can hear her heart beat from a thousand miles
And the heaven opens every time she smiles
And when I come to her that’s where I belong
Yet I run into her like a river’s song
