Alexis and Nick got engaged just one year ago on Thanksgiving (and Alexis’ birthday). They were with her family and he gave her a birthday card. The card played “As Time Goes By” from Casablanca (her favorite movie). Dangling from the card was the ring. She said yes and they’re having their wedding on the beach next year in Cape May.
We wandered through Old City for their e-session. Nick wanted to make sure we got a few shots with the Ben Franklin Bridge in the background. Check!
Then we headed to Elfreth’s Alley. I’m actually ashamed I had never been here before and even more amazed that no one else had ever asked to shoot engagement/wedding pictures here. I loved it! There wasn’t a soul around.
Old abandoned building. Yep!
We stopped at this incredible old building. The light was just scrumptious. And those columns…
Then we met up with Nick and Alexis’ 1 year old Westie, Melody, and the party really started. No attention span at all (find me a terrier to the contrary!) but adorable as anything.
We must have hit that park at just the right time because the colors were unreal.
We ran over behind Independence Hall to get a little more light right before the end of the session.
Alexis and Nick (and Mel), thanks so much for such a good time. See you in May!
It’s still the same old story
A fight for love and glory
A case of do or die
The world will always welcome lovers
As time goes by
