I have a task for you: go to a playground and swing. I mean it. Leave the kids at home. I want you on that swing. Bask in a summer evening and just play. Hold on tight, move your legs, throw your head back, close your eyes, and go. There is something incredibly freeing about being on a swing. Trust me on this one.

Happy [belated] Mother’s Day!
I didn’t post on Mother’s Day because I was in Scotland. Even better, I was in Scotland with my mom on Mother’s Day. The death of my uncle didn’t make the circumstances ideal, but I was glad to see her and some of the family. My family is a bit… quirky. I Ran the Disneyworld Marathon to Stop MS
People run marathons all the time. I know this and yet the process felt so personal. Perhaps it’s because all of the training is solo and because I do it all for me.  I’m not competing against anyone but myself. Working up to the race took hours upon hours of running, logging over 1000 miles last year in anticipation for my very first 26.2 miles in Orlando, Florida for the Disney World Marathon last Sunday. Ending MS would be pretty freaking awesome!
I'm running this Sunday morning. Far. 13.1 miles - Philadelphia's half marathon. And I'm doing it to raise money for the research, prevention, treatment, and cure of Multiple Sclerosis.Please help me in stopping MS. It means so much.
