Bucks County Engagement Photographer | Lake Nockamixon | Jeanette + Kevin

Engagement

Jeanette and Kevin have been together for 6 years.  I’ve known them since 2010 when I photographed Kevin’s sister’s wedding.  It does not seem like it has been that long at all!  Their family is fabulous and that’s one of the things that attracted Jeanette to Kevin in the first place – he has always shown that he’s extremely family oriented.

Kevin had had his eye on Jeanette for some time.  He contacted her when the time was right and asked her out.  She was extremely nervous for their first date and was convinced Kevin was having a bad time because he didn’t smiled.  She realized at the end of the date that he had something that wasn’t there when they first met: braces.

There have been plenty of smiles since then.  He keeps her cracking up.  Jeanette also says that Kevin is super handy and can do just about anything.  This is useful since they have a house, boat, four-wheeler, and a new toy: a camper.

They wanted their engagement session at Lake Nockamixon where they spend a lot of their free time with their two dogs.  The dogs stayed home but I was thrilled when I realized the prop we would be using for the shoot: their boat!

Jeanette grew up fishing and Kevin grew up on boats.  She has taught him how to fish and this is their happy place.

They took a trip to New York City the week before Christmas to see the Rockettes and the Christmas tree and holiday decorations at Macys.  It was at the Top of the Rock that he popped the question.

These two hotties will show up again next year for their fall wedding in Lancaster.  It is sure to be a stunner!

Chestnut Hill, Philadelphia engagement session in Wissahickon Park
Philadelphia Engagement Photographer | Chestnut Hill | Riley + Gardner
Riley and Gardener met when they were 6.  They lived close to each other while growing up which is good because they’ve been dealing with a lot of long distance since dating.  He asked her to the junior prom in 10th grade and they’ve been together ever since. It seemed only perfect that we would get together for their engagement session right in their back yard, Wissahickon Park via Chestnut Hill. They have seemingly traveled all over the world together through family vacations in Georgia, Massachusetts, and Colorado as well as Puerto Rico and too many other places for me to remember. The closeness for their first few deca ...

Jason + Erin: Proposal in Rittenhouse Square
Jason called me up the other week. He had hatched a plan with the help of Lori from Keystone Concierge. The plan was to propose to his longtime girlfriend, Erin, in Rittenhouse Square one Saturday morning. They were going to walk through the park on the way to "get something to eat at Parc". And then they'd stop and notice how someone had set up a lovely picnic. And then they'd notice the musician strumming away right beside it (their very own minstrel, if you will). And then Erin would notice Jason on one knee with a ring. That's how it went down and it was awesome. And I got to be a part of it. I photographed the whole thing from afa ...
