Bucks County Wedding Photographer | Aldie Mansion | Angela + Davide

Wedding

Angela made one thing clear to me before the wedding day: “We’re all Italian so it will be loud.”  I was looking forward to it!

There were so many creatively beautiful touches that day.  I had an inkling that might happen when I met with them months ago for their coffee shop engagement session and then received their 3D save-the-date.

The fingertip length veil that Angela wore was created from her mother’s own cathedral length veil.

There were a few things to worry about (like the dog sitter who never showed for their two doxies) but solutions were found and there was so much calm once Angela and Davide did their first look on the gorgeous grounds of Aldie Mansion in Doylestown.  The weather was fantastic.

This gave us plenty of time to take advantage of the venue before all of the guests showed up and indulge in the VIPs.

One of my favorite moments of the day was when Angela and Davide danced in front of the big glass windows in Aldie Mansion and two little peeping ring bearers found front row seats.

Once of the best things about Aldie is that you have so many options.  I have photographed three weddings there this year and each ceremony has had a different setup.  This time the wedding party strode down the winding path behind the mansion to the ceremony site in the rear garden.

They shared a lovely hand-binding service before the big kiss and exit.

The cocktail hour was dappled with special mementos – framed engagement pictures dotting the library shelves, the guest sign-in puzzle, place cards on corks, olive oil and balsamic vinegar favors, and a scrumptious paella station that guests would find and keep for themselves.

The reception began with Angela and Davide’s first dance to the couldn’t-be-more-fitting “Falling in Love at a Coffee Shop” by Landon Pigg.

The Oh, snap! Photo Studio was well utilized that evening as well.

I feel super lucky that I got Angela and Davide out for a breather at one point during the night.

It was a fantastic (loud, Italian) day!

I think that possibly, maybe I’m falling for you

Yes there’s a chance that I’ve fallen quite hard over you.

I’ve seen the paths that your eyes wander down

I want to come too

You couldn’t have asked for a much more beautiful day than what we had for Erin and Scott’s wedding. I completely lucked out with these two for both their spectacular Art Museum engagement session and then their New Jersey wedding. My time began with Erin and the ladies at her parents’ house in Vorhees. You can tell that her family is close. Their interactions just exuded love. We allotted plenty of time for her beautiful lace-up Maggie Sottero gown.I really love it when I get to photograph brides and grooms in their homes where they grew up. It makes the family connection that much stronger. Scott was getting ready with the guys at his ...

Philadelphia Wedding Photographer | Morris Arboretum | Joanna + John
I came home from Joanna and John’s wedding thinking, “yes, that was exactly how a wedding should feel."  There were a few raindrops and a storm threatened but the day felt warm, intimate, loving, happy, and so, so right. It was beautiful, pure and simple. The entire wedding took place at the always gorgeous Morris Arboretum in Chestnut Hill, Philadelphia.I love it when I get to take the details, including the dress, outdoors for pictures. Natural light makes everything better.I love that they did a first look before the ceremony. Sure it was great to get the family formals out of the way and let them go to cocktail hour, but it allow ...

Elizabeth + Dave: Wedding in Wine Country’s Calistoga Ranch
I am still experimenting on my blog with different image treatments and this was the perfect event to test them out – let me know what you think!A week or so ago, I shot Elizabeth and Dave's beautiful wedding with Lisa Leigh Photography up in wine country. We started at this great little house they had rented out right around the corner from St. Helena Catholic Church. This place must have come straight from the pages of Country Living because it was just adorable. There were so many pictures I loved from this wedding, so I've tried to keep it as brief as possible but really, the dresses, the venue, the bride, the cake… Everything was beautif ...
