Chester County Engagement Photographer | Longwood Gardens | Drea + Steve

Engagement

Philadelphia sports fans are famous (okay, notorious) for being particularly crazy and fanatical.  I’ve had my Flyers fans and Eagles fans and Phillies fans but Drea and Steve were my first Union fans.  In fact, they owe their relationship to the soccer team.

The Philadelphia Union cheering section, the Sons of Ben, had an away game in Montreal 3 years ago.  Steve went with a group of friends and Drea went solo (some friends backed out last minute).  It was on the bus back that Steve and his rowdy friends chatted up Drea.  They were shot down when they invited her out that night.

4 months later at a Union charity event, Steve walks in from a Santa run (in a Santa suit), recognizes Drea, and finally gets her number.

We did their engagement session at beautiful Longwood Gardens in Kennett Square during their Orchid Extravaganza.

Last July Steve and Drea took a trip back to Montreal where Steve popped the question in front of a beautiful old church.  I love the delicate diamond infinity band Drea chose for her engagement ring.

I’m psyched for their wedding this May at Duportail House.  I’m expecting a bunch of yard games and a hell of a good time!

“Why do you build me up, Philly U baby, just to let me down and mess me around.. then, worst of all (worst of all!) you never score Union like you say you will, but we love you still! We need U! (We need U!) more than anyone Union, you know that we have from the start! So build me up, Philly U don’t break my heart.”

They are big time foodies and have a 2 year old cocker spaniel that Avani brought with her when she moved to the area to be with Ankit (this was after a 6 year long distance relationship!).We wandered around University of Pennsylvania’s Morris Arboretum in for a while for their engagement pictures. If you’ve never been to this gem of a place just north of Chestnut Hill, I definitely recommend it. Morris Arboretum is gorgeous. You’ll see.The c ...

Philadelphia engagement photographer | Rittenhouse Square | Angela + Robert
I had to begin wondering if this engagement session would ever come.  Angela and Robert were coming down from New York and we had rain plan A-F for a myriad of dates.  Finally I saw them on an overcast day in Philly for their whirlwind engagement session around Rittenhouse Square. The two have been together for 13 years, meeting while working together at the Sports Authority in Queens.  He was a “bad boy” who smoked cigarettes and had an Abercrombie jacket.  She was smitten. Robert was two hours late in picking her up for their first date.  He forgot her house number and knocked on every door up and down the street until he ga ...
