Engagement

This is a story of high school sweethearts.  Lily and Greg were lab partners in physics class.  She took him to her junior prom, he took her to his senior prom, they went on an official first date, and I got to hang out with them on a blustery fall day 5 years later.

Greg went off to Penn State for college.  He came back that fall on a surprise visit and asked her to be his girlfriend.

Lily went to Villanova and they continued their relationship long distance.   Greg knew within a year of dating that she was the one he was going to marry.

The gorgeous ring (blue diamonds + his grandmother’s center stone) was in his possession for 8 days when he popped the question.  They had gone to dinner and came home, sitting on the sofa together, when he asked her to marry him.  He had been sick earlier that week and put the ring in the back of the kitchen cabinet to hide it.  He was petrified that she would see the bag when Lily came over and was searching for pots and pans to make him food.  Crisis averted and she missed it.

The two will be married at St. Thomas of Villanova next October.  I’m hoping this next year flies by.  I can’t wait to see them again!

Philadelphia Engagement Photographer | Eastern State Penitentiary & Art Museum | Janene + Greg
I know of at least two people who are absolutely dying to see these images. And with good reason. This extended engagement session was a blast, a riot, a fantastically incredible good time and the pictures are delicious. Janene and Greg are rockstars. They met online (ladies take note: she winked at him) and they arranged a date. I love this part of their story and I so hope they don’t mind me telling it… They were meeting up at a restaurant and she desperately had to go to the bathroom. She texted him to scope out where it was. As soon as she showed up, he pointed her in the right direction but a little girl swooped in and got to ...

Philadelphia engagement photographer | Rittenhouse Square | Stevie + Brandon
I know you’re all wanting to see Stevie and Brandon’s wedding pictures but you’re just going to have to wait.  First comes the engagement pictures, taken around Rittenhouse Square just a few days before the big event. Brandon mostly plays it cool while Stevie gleams with exuberance.  And it’s completely contagious. They met after a show at the Khyber though there is debate over how it all went down.  He attempted a bad pickup line and she called him out on it.  Stevie, a fashion designer working at Urban Outfitters, found out that he was an art student and was smitten. Regardless, they began seeing each other and real ...

An Engagement Session all over San Francisco
Last Friday Cole proposed to Caroline atop Mt. Tam and I got to be there to capture it. It was so beautifully set up.On Saturday, Cole, Caroline, and I traveled all over San Francisco for a full-day engagement session hitting up some of San Francisco's most beautiful spots. And while Friday was almost sweltering, Saturday's weather was absolutely perfect. Not too warm, not too cold, bright blue sky with fluffy white clouds. Oh, it couldn't have been better! Here are some of the highlights of our day…We started around Union Square and despite being called "scoundrels" (them) and "wench" (me) by one of the locals, it was a good start to the ...
