Chester County Wedding Photographer | People’s Light & Theater | Emily + Leonardo
Wedding
I’m pretty sure that I could photograph Emily and Leonardo’s wedding every weekend and still never get tired of them or their spectacular day. It was happy, truly and utterly blissful. Throughout the day Emily’s refrain was, “I’m so happy. So, so happy”. I don’t think that they can be near each other without breaking into dance and, really, what is better than that?
I started shooting at Emily’s mom’s house in Wayne, PA. I honestly imagined Emily in something very simple but her lace gown was just perfect for her. It was light and fit her like a glove and she looked completely stunning.
Her something old was her great aunt’s diamond bracelet that was given as a gift from her jockey husband. Blue shoes peeped out from under her dress and her mother’s pearl earrings and necklace were her something borrowed.
Of course Nellie (who played a star role in their Art Museum engagement session) had to make an appearance on the wedding day.
The wedding ceremony and reception were held at the Farmhouse at People’s Light and Theater in Malvern, PA. The day was beautiful. They included friends and family in all aspects – the officiant was Emily’s friend from school, the ceremony musicians were Leonardo’s friends from high school, Leonardo’s best man was Emily’s brother, and Emily’s maids were Leonardo’s two sisters.
They half walked, half danced down the aisle to a recessional of “Home”.
We had the perfect time of day for the pictures of the two of them just as the sun was setting. We made use of a few nooks and crannies around the property.
Emily and Leonardo shared their first dance to “Dance Me to the End of Love” by Madeline Peyroux.
Toasts introduced just about everyone in the room and talked about the couples’ immense/intense love for gardening and how they seem to throw just as much dedication into their jobs and relationship with one another.
The rest of the night was a blur of dancing (duh) and laughter.
Emily and Leonardo, thank you so much for including me in your day! It was pretty freaking incredible!
Dance me to the wedding now, dance me on and on
Dance me very tenderly and dance me very long
We’re both of us beneath our love, we’re both of us above
