He calls her “Princess” and I’m sure she calls him something like “Snuggle Bunny Boo” but he wouldn’t dish. We had a very full day of shooting around Maryland for Alyssa and Kyle’s extended engagement session. It was torture to not overload the blog with pictures from it!
I’ll let them give you all the details, but they met at a friend’s party while at Penn State together. Forget dinner and movies – their very first date was a the ice skating rink at Penn’s Landing where they were witness to a proposal right there on the ice. Kyle’s proposal to Alyssa was at Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse where he slipped the maître d’ the ring and it arrived later on a platter where Kyle dropped to one knee.
They moved around a bit and eventually ended up in Bel Air, Maryland together. We started the session in the complex where they live. You’d never know that were surrounded by cars on all sides, would you?
We jetted down to the adorable downtown Havre de Grace. This historic little town at the mouth of the Susquehanna River was such a great idea. There were so many little nooks and crannies, bright walls, and people watching going on. I learned that they love going camping, drinking wine, and playing board games. Though I don’t think they meant that they do all three at once, it sounds like a fantastic idea to me.
You know you’re doing something right when pedestrians and tell you to get a room!
Kyle had driven his motorcycle down so we could catch a few shots of them with the bike.
We took a quick trip to Bomboy’s for ice cream. I absolutely love detours like this and these pictures were so much fun! Mucho thanks to Kyle for getting me a mint chocolate chip!
We were able to play in golden hour while at the boardwalk that runs along the Millard J. Tydings Memorial Park from the Concord Point Lighthouse to the City Yacht Basin there. The place was gorgeous and the temperatures dropped a few degrees to make the rest of the session not so sweltering.
Alyssa and Kyle, thanks so much for showing me around your hood! I can’t wait to see what you two do with the Hotel du Pont in the spring!
To find someone who will love you for no reason, and to shower that person with reasons, that is the ultimate happiness.
