Haesook + Wayne: Engagement Session at Longwood Gardens

Engagement

It’s fun when couples tell me that they’re not really big on PDA; I like a challenge. Haesook and Wayne were one such couple though you’d never believe it by looking at their pictures. They met at Penn through church, were friends for a few years, and then slowly turned that friendship into a romance.

She actually didn’t believe him on the night that he proposed. He picked her up from the airport after visiting family in Korea. He had candles everywhere, pictures of the two of them, he sang to her, and then got down on one knee. Still in a state of jetlag, she thought it was all in fun! Not so.

They’ll be getting married next month with a wedding in North Wales. For right now, check out their fantastic wintery engagement session we had over at Longwood Gardens in Kennett Square. We showed up during the orchid extravaganza and wandered through the glorious displays.

I love that these photographs show just how into each other they are.

We braved the cold for some really fantastic shots around the snow covered grounds. Most people were in the greenhouses so we practically had the place to ourselves. It was serene and so beautiful.

And seriously, could they be any more adorable?

Haesook and Wayne informed me of the wonders of Korean dramas and we came up with some absurd plotlines of our own. It was a great afternoon with cuddling, laughing, and some beautiful winter light. I can’t wait for the wedding next month! Thanks again, you two!

Love me and the world is mine.

Philadelphia Engagement Photographer | Art Museum | Ellie + Josh
I was psyched from the moment I met Ellie last year.  Her petite frame, red hair, and freckled face just beamed all over.  She’s a happy soul.  Then I learned about Josh.  Josh is a man who doesn’t give out opinions for the sake of hearing his own voice.  So when he has something to say, it’s worth a listen.  This, my friends, is the man who has requested a pig in a blanket for his wedding.  Not just any pig in a blanket.  A Guinness record-breaking pig in a blanket.  I’m a vegetarian but even I can’t wait to see this majesty. So we met up at the Philadelphia Museum of Art for a couple hours of amazing light and one of Philly’s most be ...

Chester County Engagement Photographer | Longwood Gardens | Drea + Steve
Philadelphia sports fans are famous (okay, notorious) for being particularly crazy and fanatical.  I’ve had my Flyers fans and Eagles fans and Phillies fans but Drea and Steve were my first Union fans.  In fact, they owe their relationship to the soccer team. The Philadelphia Union cheering section, the Sons of Ben, had an away game in Montreal 3 years ago.  Steve went with a group of friends and Drea went solo (some friends backed out last minute).  It was on the bus back that Steve and his rowdy friends chatted up Drea.  They were shot down when they invited her out that night. 4 months later at a Union charity event, Ste ...
