It was such a pleasure to photograph Chef Jose Garces’ Luna Farm (named after Luna, the family’s bulldog) for a private event last month.
The 100% organic 40-acre farm in Bucks County is gorgeous. There are sprawling fields rows upon rows of fruits and vegetables used in the famous Garces family restaurants on the east coast (JG Domestic, Amada, Distrito, Garces Trading Co., Tinto, Village Whiskey, Rosa Blanca). It is the family’s calming and lovely retreat from the city.
What an incredible outdoor kitchen, right?
Guests mixed and mingled on the patio with the Iron Chef himself while munching on beautiful and tasty hors d’oeuvres.
Chef Garces then led a demonstration with fresh mozzarella and ricotta.
Guests were escorted down to the beautiful sailcloth tent for a delicious dinner and a delightfully informal Q&A with Chef Garces. I loved that Chef Garces spent some time in the back preparing and plating the meal himself.
It was a gorgeous evening at the beautiful farm.
“Positivity, that’s one of the things I try to spread throughout my company and really anyone I come in contact with. Because as you know, life’s too short. You got to keep it positive and keep it fun.”
