I knew Sarah and Kevin’s wedding at Lancaster‘s Inn at Leola Village was going to be a good time and completely stylish. Kevin is a musician (a drummer, to be precise) and had some entertainment planned for us that night. In addition, as I was walking around the venue before shooting that day I learned that a pretty large group was at the bar the night before loading up on Irish Car Bombs. Just saying. Oh, and you remember Sarah and Kevin from their engagement session around West Chester back in March.
The venue was gorgeous. There were so many nooks and crannies to wander around and use for pictures. I could have spent days there!
The ladies were getting ready at the poolside suite. The rooms were beautiful and each one was different. Sarah’s Paloma Blanca gown was stunning. She looked absolutely incredible in it.
And let me tell you about her hot GUESS glittery slingback pumps. Better yet, here they are. They had 4 inch + heels and were pure awesome.
I had a few minutes with Sarah before the ceremony. We took advantage of the wine cellar (complete with chandelier!) by the restaurant.
Her bridal bouquet by Matlack Florist of dark calla lilies, orchids, greens, and feathers was one of the most unique I’ve ever seen.
The main room at the Casa di Fiori looked fantastic. I loved the fabric draping that framed the ceremony site. The room itself with large windows, lush curtains, and a stone fireplace was sheer perfection.
In addition to personal readings by family and friends, Sarah and Kevin had a beautiful candle ceremony in which the flame from the couple’s candle was used to light the tapers of every guest in the room.
Kevin was initially reprimanded by the officiant for his first kiss. He was ordered a re-do with more oomph!
The light after the ceremony was just perfect.
Guests mingled in the lobby and outside for cocktail hour as the room was quickly refreshed for the reception.
The bridal party was introduced and Sarah and Kevin danced their first dance to “Steady as We Go” by Dave Matthews Band.
We heard toasts which included a demonstration of life growing up with Kevin by his brother, Dan.
And then the night erupted into a rocking good time. Philadelphia Funk Authority had every guest out on the dancefloor, punctuated by Kevin and his bandmates playing some sets for a very receptive audience.
It was a great wedding. Everything was beautiful and fun, exactly the way it should have been! Sarah and Kevin, thank you so much and many, many congratulations!
Any place you want to go,
Know I’ll be next to you.
If it’s treasure baby your looking for,
I’ll search the whole world through.
