Family

It is hard to believe that it was only 8 months ago that I was contacted by Colleen and Karl about their wedding and I have since gotten to follow along on the most exciting moments: from their engagement session to their beautiful wintery Bellevue wedding to now, Colleen’s maternity session.

I went back to their beautiful home in Bryn Mawr. This was 10 days before baby was due. Colleen was still working, saying that it had been an incredibly easy pregnancy – no swelling, fatigue, actual maternity clothes, or even cravings. She credits this to Belly Pilates and looks incredible! How do I get so lucky with these hot mommas?!

I was so excited to see her again. You’ll probably remember them from their thunderous Best of 2012 win!

They haven’t found out if it’s a boy or a girl and they were still undecided on names!

Please note the elephant in the back – Karl has a thing for them. You’ll see them all over the house in big and little ways.

And tell me you remember Samson! He is still a puppy with big puppy eyes but he’s now sooo much bigger!

Nope, not Colleen’s sister, that’s her MOM! I was really glad we had her there to play with us.

I feel so lucky to have met this extraordinary and beautiful family. I can’t wait to see it grow. Baby Wagner is a few days late now and everyone is eager with anticipation for the news!

newborn baby photo session in Fishtown with parents at window
Philadelphia Newborn Photographer | Fishtown | Harper
Becky and Josh’s newborn session was held on a rainy day in their Fishtown home.  The baby was less than two weeks old.  When I arrived, Becky bounded down the stairs to greet me.  I thought I must have been in the wrong house.  She moved around with complete ease.  (A total jerk, I know!) The windowlight was perfection that day.  Soft light fell on this brand new family and I could not get enough! Josh and Becky thought they were having a boy for sure.  Everyone thought so.  The way she carried the baby, that she didn’t lose any of her good looks, cravings, etc.  All signs pointed to boy. And then she arrived.  Harper Vale. ...

the Marshalls: a Family session at Haverford College
Two Sundays ago I met up with the Marshall family at Haverford College for a photoshoot. We had Sarah and Brad and their three children: Caitlin (14), Adam (4), and Amelia (2.5). They had won the session at an auction in February at the Gladwyne Montessori School, where Adam is a student. Amelia's sweet little springtime outfit was handmade by one of Brad's realtives (I think it was his mother…).We missed out on the sunny weather that we saw a few days prior but the overcast skies made for perfect soft lighting at the gorgeous school grounds. We started out around the pond and the old weathered shack right there.I love Adam's expression and ...
