Montgomery County Engagement Photographer | Valley Forge National Park | Becca + Mike

Engagement

Becca and Mike are something else. Becca and I had a long phone consultation and then I got to meet both of them in person. It still didn’t prepare me for the engagement session we had at Valley Forge National Park not long after. We lucked out with some of the most golden light, great temperatures, and amazing colors of the year.

Becca and Mike met at a friend’s party four years ago. Mike recalls that Becca Facebook stalked him and messaged him before they went out on their first real date together.

A few months into dating Becca was invited to a friend’s wedding in Belize. She knew that he was a big deal even then because it’s not just anyone you take with you across the world for a wedding.

She is a petite little thing who is good at shopping (according to Mike) and he’s a big lug who is good at mowing stripes in lawns and watching the Flyers (according to Becca).

These two are snarky and playful and stupidly, utterly in love. What could be better?

Mike proposed one night while they were just sitting there watching TV.

I had such a fun time playing around with them in some of the most incredible light of the year. Then again, I think these two would have made anything look good! I can’t wait to see what they do next May for their wedding at Stokesay Castle.

Katie + Justin’s engagement session
Ice cream-loving Katie met and fell in love with Justin, a guy from Tennessee with a southern drawl and the patience to wander around New York City all day before popping the question in front of the huge Christmas tree this past winter (he was almost forced to do it earlier at NBC Studios but that's another story altogether). They don't recall their first date or when this relationship became real. They met at school in Tennessee (she's from Delaware) and their friendship eventually morphed into something more.We all met up the other week at Battery Park in New Castle, Delaware for their e-session. This was a fantastic location with trees ...

Philadelphia Engagement Photographer | Anu + Joe [teaser]
Sometimes little gifts like hundreds of naked people on bicycles just happen during an engagement session. This was one of those times. Anu and Joe got an eye-ful as we strolled all around Philadelphia the other day. You may want to avert your eyes but there will be more soon!Update: it looks like LOLadelphia was just as amused by our photobombed session.

Philadelphia Engagement Photographer | Philadelphia Museum of Art | Emily + Leonardo
It is my great pleasure to introduce Nelly (and her pets, Emily and Leonardo)! These three drove down from Massachusetts the other week for their engagement session around Philly’s beautiful Art Museum.A few things about these three: Emily is sweet as pie, Leonardo is quite the charmer, and Nelly is big on squirrels. Emily and Leonardo met online and shared their first date at a wine bar that Emily’s friends crashed, sitting a few booths down facing Leonardo. He was apparently unfazed as he managed to set up more dates with Emily, stretching a chalkboard project from a trip to a sketchy flea market into several dates together and trips to ...
