Montgomery County Wedding Photographer | Quarry Hill Farm | Carla + Ben

Wedding

I learned a new word at Carla and Ben’s wedding: schvitz. It’s a Yiddish verb meaning ‘sweat’ and we all did a lot of it on that 100+ heat index day. As Ben’s eternally happy sister proclaimed, “it’s in to be schvitzy”. As hot as it was, the wedding was beautiful! It was held at up and coming Quarry Hill Farm in Harleysville, PA and was everything Carla had imagined: fresh, organic, local, and spectacular! As a couple who met while gardening, there couldn’t have been a more perfect place.

The couple looked great while they were prepping themselves to see each other that day.

We were able to spend a little bit of time walking around the property before the ketubah signing.

Easily one of my favorite pictures of the day:

Their dog, Sal, was there for emotional support (also present during their Philly engagement session).

They gifted their wedding party custom Chucks!

The rabbi arrived and filled out his part of the ketubah and we had a ketubah signing and a quick rehearsal before heading out for the main event.

The meadow on the property was idyllic. You turn a corner and walk up an incline and you’re surrounded by wildflowers, blue skies, and even a windmill in the distance behind the chuppah.

We got a few more family formals after their Jewish ceremony.

And though the pictures don’t show how hot it really was, trust me…

The reception was at the barn – dinner and toasts were outside and the dancing was indoors. There were fabulous strings of lights everywhere – setting the perfect glow for the evening as the sun went down.

Guests found their seat by way of herb-themed tables. “Nourishing Love,” as Carla called it. The centerpieces were a labor of love that spanned over three parties of painting plant pots. It was a great way of bonding with friends and families before the wedding. Guests were invited to take the plants home after the wedding and continue to feed and love them in their new homes.

The couple of the day arrived and spent the rest of the evening listening to fantastic toasts, watching the fireworks display, eating scrumptious food (including a gourmet ice cream buffet!), and dancing their butts off.

Love, love, love the sheer back on Carla’s wedding gown!

Their first dance was “I Only Have Eyes for You” by The Flamingos.

The Oh, snap! Photo Studio was a resounding success, especially due to the mustaches that everyone had on by the end of the night!

All in all, a beautiful day, a beautiful wedding, and a very beautiful couple.

You are here and so am I
Maybe millions of people go by
But they all disappear from view
And I only have eyes for you

Bucks County Wedding Photographer | Holly Hedge Estate | Kelsie + Devin
As I learned at their engagement session at Longwood Gardens last year, Kelsie and Devin are casual and goofy.  There is no pretension whatsoever and they toy with each other.  I wondered how they would create their wedding at Holly Hedge Estate, a venue not ostentatious but incredibly classy and beautiful.  As you’ll see, they pulled it off to perfection! Kelsie went to one dress shop and it all came down to a lace gown and this strapless beaded number.  She figured she only lives once so she went for the glamor! I love the intricate detail on their Verragio engagement and wedding ring set. I really can’t get enough of ...

Wedding Photography at Philadelphia City Hall: Triana + Ankur
I don’t think Triana and Ankur could keep a straight face for more than 10 minutes if their lives depended on it. And, honestly, I wouldn’t want it any other way. This was the same Harry Potter/Twihard couple I geeked out with at their engagement session a few months ago at Longwood Gardens. So there we were at Philadelphia City Hall on an incredibly hot Thursday afternoon waiting for these two to say their ‘I do’s. Ankur had arrived at the crack of dawn and elbowed out some fellow to-be-weds months earlier to reserve this date. City Hall weddings are something special because there is so little stuff involved. It really is all about the ...

Philadelphia Wedding Photographer | Tyler Arboretum | Jen + Jeremy
I’m almost positive that Jen can make just about anything happen through some magically fierce combination of will and sunshine (she’s a Cali girl, after all).  Jeremy keeps up and follows suit.  The end result is a radiance I haven’t seen since Rainbow Bright. Their wedding day was exactly as you’d imagine of these two: incredibly colorful and wonderfully happy.  They drew inspiration from Napa Valley and the Mediterranean and mixed in some of the most gorgeous Pennsylvania fall hues. The VIPs got ready at the Sofitel in Philadelphia.  Jen wore what I assume is the most intricate and complicated wedding dress in the history of brid ...
