New Jersey Newborn Photographer | Mt. Laurel Home | Harper

Family

Little Miss Harper Laine stayed wide awake for practically our entire session at her home in Mt. Laurel, New Jersey last week.  I get it; when literally everything is new and you’re the star of a photoshoot, you want to hang out and see all that there is to see (within 6 inches of your face).

This isn’t to say that she was upset.  Not in the least.  Harper was pleasant while I was there, showing off her gorgeous Pinterest-worthy nursery (teepee, DIY flower mobile, the softest color palette) and a few questionable/fashionable headpieces.

New mom, Jeanette, looks fabulous whenever I see her.  She’s a total workaholic and this was the first time I’ve ever seen her in one place for more than a few minutes. That being said, she’s eager to get back to work and is still coordinating umpteen projects from her nursing chair.

Dad, Dustin, is a proud poppa.  Despite all Jeanette’s pink influence, he has visions of his little girl being an NFL kicker.

Luca, their cat, finds this whole thing questionable.

Harper was 6 days late and made Jeanette work to see her little “fishface” with back labor.  Overall, she said it wasn’t so bad and she would gladly do it all over again.  Jeanette’s already imaging a future of pillow forts, Disney movies, soccer, and mohawks in the bathtub.

It was on a 12 hour drive to Michigan to visit Dustin’s family that they came up with Harper’s name.  They found out the sex as early as possible and went through all the baby books.

I loved getting to meet 8 day old Harper.  I can’t wait to find out which sports team she’s on in a few years!

The 511 family shares a very special place for me. They are special in all the ways every family is special: the idiosyncrasies that make them this wonderful little unit. Through Becca’s gift as a skilled writer, she has shared her world through her blogs. 511 Ever After is her home blog. She talks about her décor crushes of the day and the little pieces of happiness that she has brought into her home to make it personal. Mommy, Ever After is her blog about family and her kids. It is filled with the joy of little Belle’s magic and moments of pure kismet and hilarious interactions. It also has stories of tears and despair and pain. It is real. ...

Philadelphia Family Photographer | 1 year | Jack
I have been lucky enough to follow this little man through the past year and it has been extraordinary.  Here is Jack at his newborn session: I visited him six months later and saw this: This time we had Mom and Dad around and we took in some morning rays at Spruce Street Harbor Park in Philadelphia for Jack's 1 year session.  The hammocks were a little unsettling. Jack’s eyes are just as blue and vibrant as ever and, looking back from the beginning, it is wild to see him grow up from a tiny little peanut to a little boy (with so many teeth!). As always, he was a delight.  Even through some colds and road trips, ...
