It’s like complete comfort with these two. There’s something about their interactions that makes it seem like they’ve found the perfect fit in one another. The world spins around them but they make faces at each other and play together and it’s the way love should be. Jess lights up around Cam and he can put her in stitches. I love it.
They were married in Long Branch, New Jersey on the shore behind McLoone’s Pier House. Everyone got ready at Ocean Place Hotel, within walking distance to the venue. A small tie snafu that morning was remedied without too much stress. The day was overcast but it was gorgeous conditions for photography – no harsh shadows and colors that just popped! Just check out the bridesmaids’ calla lily bouquets.
The Tiffany’s earrings were a gift from her mom the day of the wedding.
Jessica’s ‘something blue’ was a handkerchief her great grandmother had given to her mother on her wedding day.
The ceremony site was beautiful. Ailes were lines with bamboo and starfish and a guitarist serenaded guests and the bridal party before Jessica walked down the aisle.
And this is exactly what I mean about Jess and Cam! This was his first time seeing her. They learned just a few days before the wedding that they would need to memorize and recite their vows to one another.
I first met Jess and Cam at Matt & Julia’s wedding. After that wedding, there was no doubt in my mind that this crowd would be a blast.
We shooed away the bridal party and practically had the beach to ourselves.
You certainly couldn’t expect the entrances to be ho-hum, could you?
They danced their first dance to First Day of My Life by Bright Eyes. Cam held his cool throughout the ceremony but dancing with Jessica to that song hit home for him. It was fabulous. I love the moms embracing in the background.
And then we partied!
Is this not the cutest beach cake you’ve ever seen?!
And I wouldn’t recommend messing with rugby players. There was a University of Delaware guys vs. girls rugby scrum that went down in the middle of the reception. For real.
It was a beautiful and emotional and fun wedding. Just fabulous. Had I not needed to go home that night, I would have easily partied on into the wee hours with them. Jess and Cam, congratulations!
Yours is the first face that I saw
I think I was blind before I met you
Now I don’t know where I am
I don’t know where I’ve been
But I know where I want to go
