I was psyched from the moment I met Ellie last year. Her petite frame, red hair, and freckled face just beamed all over. She’s a happy soul. Then I learned about Josh. Josh is a man who doesn’t give out opinions for the sake of hearing his own voice. So when he has something to say, it’s worth a listen. This, my friends, is the man who has requested a pig in a blanket for his wedding. Not just any pig in a blanket. A Guinness record-breaking pig in a blanket. I’m a vegetarian but even I can’t wait to see this majesty.
So we met up at the Philadelphia Museum of Art for a couple hours of amazing light and one of Philly’s most beautiful areas.
The two met online in 2013. When she met his cats the next month, he knew that she was a winner. They immediately bonded over a similar taste in music, Ellie citing Radiohead and the Smashing Pumpkins as faves.
They go to concerts together (though I don’t know how she sees anything), exercise (she’s a runner, he bikes), and really, really love their pets. You can catch them at the dog park all the time. I’m really hoping we get a guest appearance at the wedding. Pretty, pretty please!
They traveled to Puerto Rico last December. She was getting something out of his backpack when she found the ring. So of course she tried it on and asked him about it when he came out of the bathroom. NBD. He formally proposed later on the trip at the rooftop infinity pool. The center stone once rested in her grandmother’s engagement ring.
Don’t worry about missing them for too much longer. There will be plenty more of them soon from their June wedding at the Morris House Hotel. Can you tell I’m excited?
p.s. Shout out to Bonnie at Up Your Do for the hair and Nina from Cheekadee for the makeup trials the day of the engagement session!
And this feeling shivers down your spine.
Love comes in colors I can’t deny.
All that matters is love, love, your love
