Philadelphia Engagement Photographer | Italian Market | Christina + Chris
Engagement
Not everyone can just hop down a block for the most delicious fresh produce, meats, cheeses, and baked goods Philadelphia has to offer. The Italian Market is an amazing place. Christina and Chris live right there and take advantage of their magical little neighborhood all the time. It seemed fitting that we use it for the backdrop to their engagement session.
They knew early on that they were it for each other. Chris, a basketball fan(atic), is friends with Christina’s sister from work. He says he played the slow game, incorporating the four corners offense to get the defense (Christina) come to him. Whatever the tactic, it obviously worked.
They are very family-oriented people. Her family lives in Jersey, his on the Main Line and they spend a lot of time together, especially with the arrival of his sister’s new baby girl (hi, Maddie!).
Since things can get confusing when you have a ‘Chris’ and a ‘Christina,’ she calls him “Meco” (part of his last name), and he refers to her as “Burgers.” She is known for taking them down though I prefer to think the name from her time in the slammer. She looks that hardcore, right? Okay, maybe not so much.
A normal night involves sweats and devices on the couch and looks a lot like this.
It was last October that Chris proposed to Christina in their home one evening. They were supposed to go her mother’s house that night for a birthday dinner. Chris planned for friends and family to surprise them with when they arrived. They were met with about 50 people yelling their congratulations on the lawn when they drove up.
I am psyched for their summer camp wedding next year. His family has given us a dancing flash mob before so I’m expecting something equally awesome this time.
