Philadelphia Engagement Photographer | Manayunk | Rebecca & Nick

Engagement

In their group of friends from Penn State, Becca and Nick were the only ones not from Philly (she’s from Harrisburg and he’s from central New Jersey). This was obviously bound to happen. Their first date was at a diner that only had a half booth. This means that they sat side by side facing a wall. They ordered food and she chowed down on a burger but he was too nervous to eat. This October will mark their 6 years together and will also bring us together to celebrate their wedding at the DoubleTree in Philadelphia.

They now live in Manayunk together with a cat who snorts but can’t purr and a Jack Russell/Chihuahua mix who has a knack for getting into trouble (as JRTs will do). It seemed only fitting that we do their engagement session in Manayunk.

We met in Pretzel Park and started wandering.

Nick didn’t use many words but his expressions were priceless. I have a pretty good feeling that these two laugh. A lot.

The riverwalk behind the shops of Manayunk can be so gorgeous.

And I so dig the jade green railroad tracks.

Nick popped the question this past December. Becca came home from work and Nick had assembled their little family and proposed.

I am looking forward to what they have in store this October. I can’t wait!

Bucks County Engagement Photographer | Lake Nockamixon | Jeanette + Kevin
Jeanette and Kevin have been together for 6 years.  I’ve known them since 2010 when I photographed Kevin’s sister’s wedding.  It does not seem like it has been that long at all!  Their family is fabulous and that’s one of the things that attracted Jeanette to Kevin in the first place – he has always shown that he’s extremely family oriented. Kevin had had his eye on Jeanette for some time.  He contacted her when the time was right and asked her out.  She was extremely nervous for their first date and was convinced Kevin was having a bad time because he didn’t smiled.  She realized at the end of the date that he had something that wasn ...

Philadelphia Proposal Photographer | LOVE Park | Andrew + Teresa
Teresa and Andrew’s romance has been one incredible whirlwind! They both agree that it was something special from the beginning. They live in New York and met online (w00t!) in January, talked on the phone a bit and met up briefly the next night where she mentioned that she had never been to Philly. A few days later they were sharing their “first date” in a road trip together to the city of brotherly love! They stopped at JFK Plaza (aka Love Park) that day but Teresa didn’t feel it was quite right to have their picture taken in front of the LOVE statue. They spent the day wandering around, getting cheesesteaks, and then heading back.Fast ...

Kennett Square Engagement Photographer | Longwood Gardens | Andrea + John
Here’s a story of a boy and girl who met in 6th grade at St. Norbert’s. The boy apparently told his friends that he would marry the girl. The boy and girl began dating their senior year of high school. They’ve been together 8 years now and will be getting married this May at that same grade school where they met and where he first proposed to her (more on that later).Andrea and John are delightful. They’re so easy going and so in sync with each other (what a surprise, right?). He calls her Toots (which I love) and she calls him Peanut (which he doesn’t love). Their first date was to see Big Fish and then dinner at Maggianos with a few o ...
