Avani and Ankit have been together for 8.5 years, after first meeting at a friend’s party at the University of Michigan. They’ll celebrate with friends and family for an Indian wedding next January. They are big time foodies and have a 2 year old cocker spaniel that Avani brought with her when she moved to the area to be with Ankit (this was after a 6 year long distance relationship!).
We wandered around University of Pennsylvania’s Morris Arboretum in for a while for their engagement pictures. If you’ve never been to this gem of a place just north of Chestnut Hill, I definitely recommend it. Morris Arboretum is gorgeous. You’ll see.
The colors just pop!
They changed into more formal and traditional Indian garb and we continued on. They looked great together. I loved her tunic.
Ankit knew that he wanted to propose to Avani but time was running out as she was just about to go on a trip to London for a few weeks but she had a terrible cold. Regardless, they were in the basement together, surrounded by tissues, and he popped the question. He gave her this incredible stone and they chose the ring together.
Avani and Ankit, thanks for spending the evening with me! Congratulations again!
