I’m guessing Dakota won’t appreciate this but… Kate and Dakota’s cuteness is out of control! They are so flipping adorable together. I was warned that Dakota isn’t great in front of the camera but I think Kate was just trying to keep my expectations super low so that they could blow them out of the water. Total naturals, these two!
The two dated in eighth grade and he broke her heart (he wanted to hang out with his guys instead of having a girlfriend).
This is a woman who knows what she wants. Kate continued to pursue him in high school. She hung around with him and his friends until he asked her out again. Their first date was out fishing where she caught about twenty fish and he brought in a measly one.
Their wedding is coming up at her family’s estate so we got things together for an engagement session around Old City so I could finally put faces to names.
The two are totally laid back. Dakota says that this is maybe the second or third time he’s ever seen her in heels.
Dakota and Kate spend as much time in nature as possible. They go out jet skiing, boating, and hiking when they have free time.
Dakota’s free time is often spent on any number of his vehicles – 2 motorcycles and 5 cars, one that he fixed up with his grandfather that later won Best in Show.
They also have a crazy 4 year old Pit mix who has a bad habit of taking out any creatures that dares set foot on the property but is super lovable with human visitors.
Dakota proposed to Kate at the top of a mountain hike in Tennessee with a beautiful diamond engagement ring.
I have a really good feeling that this wedding is going to be a blast. I can’t wait!
