Philadelphia Engagement Photographer | Philadelphia Museum of Art | Erin + Scott

Engagement

It was just last month that Erin and Scott celebrated their 5 year anniversary of that fateful night in March when they met at a bar for a birthday party. They chatted and had arranged a date by the next week.

I entered the picture a few months ago when they contacted me about photographing their wedding coming up this June at Castle Yacht Club in New Jersey. I was excited to meet them in person for their engagement session around the Philly Art Museum just the other week. Spring was in full bloom and I was psyched to make use of it. We had perfect puffy clouds, lots of light, color everywhere, and a touch of wind for good measure.

We made our way around Waterworks and up to the front of the museum.

I love this series of images we got on the steps there.

They had talked about rings a few weeks before Christmas and Erin was hopeful. They opened presents early Christmas morning and there was no bling to be found. She was a little disappointed. They were getting ready to clean up and get ready for the rest of the day when Erin asked about her phone. Scott told her it was by the door and when she turned around, she found him decked out in a suit, flowers in hand, and on one knee with a gorgeous ring. It was perfect.

They’re big sports fans so it was important to pay homage to the Phillies for the engagement pictures so they donned some red shirts (don’t you just looooove Erin’s VS striped T?) and we played in the greenery of the azalea garden.

The wedding is just around the corner! Can’t wait to see you two so soon! P.S. Erin’s hair is naturally super curly. I’m incredibly impressed with how awesome it looked for the shoot and even more excited to see it in ringlets for the wedding.

You know it's a good match when you're grinning while editing engagement pictures and then you receive an email like this from the couple:Hi Lindsay,I just wanted to say what a great time Adam and I had taking our engagement photos. I don't think he was super excited about it before, but he really enjoyed himself - how many of your clients throw gang signs, and run headlong into Canadian geese? :) He told everyone about your "Dude, your game sucks" line. It may have been cold, windy and cloudy, but it was fun!We can't wait to see the pictures! Thanks again,StephanieThat basically sums up my engagement session with Stephanie and Adam from this ...

Philadelphia Engagement Photographer | Queen Village | Sheila + Sanjay
In the midst of this frozen weather, it’s nice to think back just a few short weeks ago to Sheila and Sanjay’s engagement session on an unusually mild Philly fall day. The two met at a Hanukkah party and hit it off. On their first date at Devon, Sanjay brought her a red rose though Sheila worried he wasn’t interested since he didn’t make a move at the end of the night. Lucky for us all, he was just being gentlemanly. We took pictures around their home in Queen Village along the waterfront.Sanjay says that he knew by the second date that she was the one. Her compassion was obvious and attractive. Their compatibility was undeniable. The two ...

Philadelphia Proposal Photographer | Morris Arboretum | Keith + Abbie
It was really chilly and almost any wonder Keith was able to convince Abbie to show up at Morris Arboretum one afternoon while they both had colds. But he got her over there after a morning with massages and it (mostly) everything went according to plan.I had been talking with Keith for a few weeks prior to the proposal day session. We had discussed the perfect time of day, the perfect location, angles, schedules, etc. Morris Arboretum is a gorgeous location in Chestnut Hill in Philadelphia. They would be coming in from New York so he wasn’t able to scope out the space beforehand. Thankfully, I've been to Morris several times a ...
