Philadelphia Engagement Photographer | University of Pennsylvania | Amanda + Nick

Engagement

Amanda and Nick met at Albright College about 10 years ago. He was her orientation leader. Turns out their first date was at a birthday party for one of Nick’s fraternity brothers. Things apparently went well because they’ve got a wedding coming up this May at the Trump National Golf Club in Pine Hill, New Jersey.

They’ve pretty much lived all over together. He went to graduate school at the University of Pennsylvania and then they took off to Germany together for a few years and then landed in San Diego where they are now. They try to be outdoors together as much as possible, hiking and vitising the beach since they live right by it. We met (for the first time) at Penn’s campus for their engagement session a few weeks ago and had such a good time despite the cold.

They’ve got their own flavor of goofiness together and I absolutely love it!

Nick took Amanda to their favorite Italian restaurant up in California and then retired to a cabin together for the evening. It had to be stressful – he got the cork stuck in the wine bottle and Amanda took “forever” to respond to him (though it was probably closer to a minute) before she blurted out if he had already asked her parents’ permission. Needless to say, she responded yes and I do believe they eventually got into that wine.

They had to rock their home teams. Nick’s from Cherry Hill so naturally he was representing the Phillies. Amanda, from Oregon, rocked the Mariners.

Amanda and Nick, can’t wait to see you back on the east coast in just a few short months for the wedding!

He’s always hot; she’s always cold but somehow someway we managed to get the perfect day for an extended engagement session for Katie and Nate. First we strolled around Fairmount and then we wandered down to the Rittenhouse Square area for some A+ engagement pictures filled with liquid courage, Christopher Walken impressions, potatoes, high fives, the most pitiful thugs you’ve ever seen, and so much laughter. You will really want to see the rest of this session!

Philadelphia Engagement Photographer | Old City + FDR Park | Elise + Eddie
Eddie is the publisher of Philly Current Magazine and the graphic designer head honcho at Loose Leaf Concepts who makes things pretty.  He might be a familiar face if you recall Lisa + Jeff’s Ritz Carlton fusion wedding (Eddie, Lisa’s brother, was her man of honor). Elise is a child life specialist at CHOP who gives little people better lives. Individually they’re pretty great.  When they met at a Philadelphia-based Canada Day party a few years ago, the universe did a happy dance (to Oh, Canada).  This was a great event because much happiness, dancing (so much dancing), and more Catholic/Jewish fusion was on the horizon. So I met up ...
