It is always pretty great spending a few hours with a newborn.  The parents are seeing stars, both from the overwhelming “whoa” of now having this little creature that is all theirs and the mind-numbing lack of sleep. Jeff and Vanessa brought me little Jack.  At just 8 days old, he was completely attentive to his mommy.  He even cracked a smile or two for us. Scotland Visit
I really hate leaving home base for too long. I get back and feel like the sky is falling. I think the dust is finally settling and I can get back into the groove again. I wanted to share some of my pictures from my trip to Scotland a few weeks ago. My grandmother is not doing very well so it was a last minute thing to get across the pond. If I ever see another airport again, it will be too soon. Part of my adventure was borderline comical. I flew from San Francisco to Los Angeles for a nine hour layover. Pamela contacted me to photograph a lovely combination of events.  In the span of one week, her son, Hudson, was turning 11, graduating elementary school, and receiving a visit from his grandfather from Hong Kong.  She spoke of it as, “celebrating a milestone moment in time.” And it was.  The original plan was to go totally casual but Hudson had picked out a sharp blue and white striped blazer so they started off looking a little extra special together.
