Philly is the fastest growing improv comedy scene in the country. You immediately think Chicago or LA or NYC for improv but you can likely find a show any day of the week in the City of Brotherly Love.
I got to play with a Bad Kitten for a stupidly fun photoshoot in Old City. Bad Kitten is a group of 7 (Sam Abrams, Neil Bardhan, Ryan Birchmeier, Steve Holland, Megan Marron, Dan Reed, Lauren Rivera) who all met while taking classes at Philly Improv Theater.
Their first show is with The Brewery this Friday at 7pm at The ArtsParlor (1170 Broad St.). With a $5 and BYOB, I strongly recommend you head out for it. I’ve seen them perform and they are ridiculous. You can get more information here.
To keep up with Bad Kitten’s hijinks and upcoming shows, you can follow them on Facebook or Twitter.
“Comedy is the art of making people laugh without making them puke.”
