Tomer and Sarah knew what they were doing. After dating for three years and knowing each other even longer, Sarah and Tomer eloped atop a mountain in Virginia, a 3 mile hike where Tomer had popped the question just two months before. It was just them and their officiant, a very close professor who was ordained just for them. It was important that they have something very intimate from day 1.
But where’s the fun in that if there’s not a group of friends and family to help them celebrate their marriage? Enter their reception party help at the delicious Garces restaurant, Amada, in Old City.
It was a chilly December night when their closest 40-something friends and family gathered together for a night of congratulations, drinking, dining, and mingling.
I met up with them a little bit before the party started for a few nighttime pictures in the area.
Tell me you don’t adore Sarah’s party-length ruffled gown and stunner pumps!
The party inside was filled with the expected revelry!
And because I couldn’t help but snatch the shoes when I saw Sarah kick them off later in the night.
I am so, so happy for these two. They both have hearts of gold. Sarah is finishing up school to be a vet and Tomer just earned his doctorate. They live with four big, happy puppies in Virginia.
