Cassie is spunky; Paulo is reserved. Cassie has a constant grin across her face; Paulo shares sly smiles if you’re paying attention. Together they’re fantastic. Remember their soccer/futebol engagement session around the Art Museum? They were married a few weeks ago and I had the honor of being there to photograph it.
I started at Cassie’s parents’ house in Lafayette Hill. The house was all aflutter with friends, family, and ten bridesmaids.
Cassie’s something old was her great grandmother’s necklace (borrowed was her sister, Rosie’s, veil, blue was her brother in law’s handkerchief). The bracelet she wore that day was a wedding present from Paulo.
This is what you do when you see your father on your wedding day and you both start crying.
As is family tradition, her father made peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for the group.
I really can’t say enough about Cassie. She’s infectious in the best possible way. She looks absolutely stately and gorgeous as if she should be a ballerina or model but she’s so easy going and people in her sphere just fall into ease. It’s crazy to see. I can completely understand what happened with Paulo. He didn’t stand a chance. Her millions of faces alone are a photographer’s dream.
We gathered at Holy Cross Church in Mt. Airy for their Catholic wedding ceremony.
The day was warm but the bridal party loaded up and moved on to Allen’s Train Station for some pictures. The colors, rust, lines, and light were absolutely perfect!
We moved on to the 300 person reception at the Commodore Barry Club (aka The Irish Center), the same venue her sisters used when they got married.
Cassie and Paulo were introduced as husband and wife and danced their first song to Wonderful by Josh Rouse.
I am in love with so many of the pictures from Cassie’s dance with her father.
There was a pretty incredible anniversary dance that ended with two couples who had each been married for 56 years!
Then we rocked it out. Hard.
Thanks so much for inviting me to be a part of this fantastic celebration. Cassie and Paulo, you two are the bee’s knees! Congratulations!
Oftentimes I sit and wonder
As I gaze out over yonder
I’m so crazy about you
So crazy and it’s true
I think you’re wonderful
Don’t change
I think you’re wonderful
Don’t change your way
I think you’re wonderful
Don’t change your way at all
