Philadelphia Wedding Photographer | Glen Foerd Mansion | Jen + Joe

Wedding

We had a few days of strange 80+ degree days and then came the day for Jen and Joe’s wedding and Glen Foerd Mansion. It was chilly and damp, which really only made the grand estate feel more proper somehow. The beautiful venue on the Delaware River was vibrant with green and overflowing with history and charm. It’s a place Jen has known practically her whole life.

Despite coordinating a wedding and four very little ones, Jen looked radiant.

They had a first look before the ceremony. It was great to wander the grounds and spend some quiet time together.

As I said, Glen Foerd is beautiful and oh-so-charming.

The ceremony was held in the drawing room, just the right size to hold the couple’s intimate 35 guests. This room with lush red tapestries, gilded mirrors and chandeliers, and piano player in the background felt perfect. Governor Ed Rendell, a close family friend, presided over the ceremony.

There were little ones everywhere. The couple opted for a low key dinner reception and I stayed through the cocktail hour to get a few images of the day’s revelry.

I celebrated an incredible wedding with Lindsay and Jordan at Tyler Arboretum in Media, PA last month. I almost can’t get over how beautiful everything was. From Lindsay’s stunning curly updo (seriously keeping this one for my files!) and two sashes to Jordan’s timely recovery to the fabulous weather that day. There were smiles in every direction and utter perfection.  They live in Austin, Texas now but chose to have their wedding closer to where they met in high school so many years ago and the place they call "home", Pennsylvania.Think back a few months ago and you’ll remember Lindsay and Jordan’s engagement session at Valley Forge ...

Kate and Kevin’s wedding day was one of those run-of-the-mill days in which the bridal party surprises the couple with a flashmob dance during the reception. You know, the usual…That should give you an indication of how Kate and Kevin’s day went down. It was filled with emotions, beautiful details, heartfelt flourishes, and an arboretum full of fun. This was no surprise to me. I’ve known Kate for a long while and their engagement session at the Art Museum was an indicator of the sweetness and spunkiness that was in store.Kate wore two sets of wedding shoes – a pair of blue velvet flats with white lace detailing on the back and these aweso ...
