Carly and Billy were married at the Hyatt at the Bellevue in Philadelphia on a 90-something degree day. Thankfully, most everything was indoors that day though I kind of feel like it wouldn’t have mattered much to them either way. Both Carly and Billy emanated joy. All day long Carly was telling Billy how handsome he looked. And he was.
In a bracelet she borrowed from her mother, sparkly Kate Spade pumps, a lace-edged cathedral length veil, and an incredible tulle gown with a fabulous illusion neckline and loose, blonde curls framing her face, Carly herself was stunning.
The two met for a first look at the top floor of the Bellevue in the sun-drenched restaurant, XIX, before stepping outside for a few shots on Philly’s classic Broad Street.
The wedding party looked glamorous. The ladies wore strapless, pale pink silk chiffon gowns and the gents were in black tuxes.
The ceremony was held in the Bellevue’s Rose Garden Room. A member of the processional required a little coaxing to get down the aisle.
Despite it being their big day, Carly and Billy didn’t want a lot of attention on them. The ceremony was short and sweet and featured one of the most beautiful chuppahs I’ve ever seen. Abundant clusters of roses, lilies, hydrangea, and greenery surrounded them in a fairy-tale scene.
After cocktail hour in the conservatory, guests moved into the glamorous Grande Ballroom. There is good reason for the place to be called the “Grande” Ballroom, made all the more luxurious by the impressive centerpieces, gold chiavari chairs, and gold linens.
The happy couple entered and shared their first dance to “Thinking Out Loud.”
The rest of the night was a blur. The hora was a blast and guests crowded the dancefloor all night long.
It was a beautiful day for a spectacular couple. Congratulations, Carly and Billy!
That, baby, now
Take me into your loving arms
Kiss me under the light of a thousand stars
Place your head on my beating heart
Thinking out loud
Maybe we found love right where we are
