Rain, rain, go away! ⋆ Lindsay Docherty Photography

Rain, rain, go away!

Personal

I’m all for the green, lush gardens and no water restrictions, but it has rained every day of May so far. I even heard that this is a record number of rainy days in a row for Philly and I’m ready for the sun!

Remember what this was like?

Don’t worry, it’ll come again. Until then, we’ll have to make do with our rainy days.

Being the smart cookie I am, I finally went out last Sunday and bought myself a pair of wellies! In between showers today, the wellies and I went out for a little photo session…

And I got a few shots of the garden too.

“The best thing one can do when it’s raining is to let it rain.”

I didn’t know any of the languages, any of the customs, and while I had thought about putting more stamps in my passport before wedding season, this wasn’t even on my radar. That Saturday night I was boarding a plane to Paris. I am still waiting to wake up from the dream that 2012 has been so far.My head was spinning on the way over. I was grinning from ear to ear, drinking miniature bottles of gratis white wine with my own row of seats and feeling like the luckiest person in the world. “Giddy” ...

I went during "golden hour" and the place was list up beautifully. There's really no better time for lovely, sun-drenched pictures than the hour or so before sunset. I try to schedule all of my shoots around this time so that I can get this gorgeous look. Photographers refer to this as "golden hour" or "magic hour". It's easy to see why.Enjoy!*Please note these images are made available ...
