Spring & Summer 2009 Wedding Special

Wedding

So you know I just moved back to the Philadelphia area and I had to leave behind some truly magical clients and fellow vendors in California. Because of this, I’m lonely here and needing some fresh 2009 loving.

I’m offering something that I very rarely do for weddings… a discount!

That’s right, I’m offering 15% off the coverage rates for weddings that are held before August 1st, 2009. This still includes everything a normal booking does: pre-event planning, a hardcover proofbook with your wedding day images, post-production editing, online posting of your images for family and friends, and a complimentary engagement session. This is fantastic news to you procrastinating brides and grooms out there. Or maybe you’re having a short engagement and frantically planning a wedding in the next five and a half months.

At any rate, this is an awesome deal and you’re unlikely to see it again!

So hop on it and call (415.515.3575) or email (info@lindsaydocherty.com) me asap to set up a consultation. I can’t wait to work with you!

Come live with me and be my love,
And we will some new pleasures prove
Of golden sands and crystal brooks,
With silken lines and silver hooks.
– John Donne

Fine print: Offer only available for local weddings. Wedding must take place on or before July 31st, 2009. 15% off coverage rates only (wedding day, rehearsal dinner, second photographer) – albums, prints, digital images, and overtime costs are at regular price. Based on availability. Because we do receive numerous inquiries, we are unable to reserve a date without a contract and retainer.

[the value of] A Second Photographer
You read in the wedding magazines and on blogs that you should ask your photographer if they offer a second shooter. But why? Aren't you hiring a professional already? Do you really need two photographers? The answer is 'possibly' and I'll explain why as it relates to LDP. Quite simply, two lenses are better than one. I'm very snap happy. I get really into weddings and my trigger gets quite the workout on wedding days. But there is only one of me and I can't possibly be in two places at once. Here are some prime examples… 1) The getting ready pictures. I'm usually with the girls. These are some of my favorite pictures of the day – the pr ...

Annie + Keith: Wedding in St. Helena with Julie Cheshire
I still can't get over last weekend's wedding between Annie & Keith. I spent the day in wine country with Julie of Julie Cheshire Photography photographing this absolutely adorable couple. We started the day at Harvest Inn in St. Helena where the guys and the girls were getting ready. Harvest Inn is absolutely beautiful and reminiscent of some hidden New England treasure with its brick buildings and little shaded paths everywhere.I absolutely loved Annie's flowers. The girls had bright yellow calla lilies with a humble green leaf wrap around the stems. Annie's bouquet was made of green-tipped white callas with a trio of leaf wraps down ...

Philadelphia Wedding Photographer | Front & Palmer | Sophie + Ben
Sophie and Ben’s day must have been held on the most hot and stiflingly humid day of the year.  As a fellow curly-headed woman, I understood that pictures outside were not an option.  Thankfully, it wasn’t an issue.  We had amazing light and opportunities right where we were. The ladies and gents got ready at Philadelphia’s funky Hotel Palomar down by Rittenhouse Square.  Sophie’s gown came out of a fairy tale.  It was delicate, simple, and was perfection on the graceful and statuesque Sophie.  She had been looking for a wedding dress for 6 months before she tried on the Shareen Vintage frock. The 1920’s style robin’s egg blue shoes ...
