I have been falling in love with Cait and Bob for a while now. Every interaction has been so lovely. They are the kind of people you look forward to seeing and I’m bummed that I don’t have a good reason to run into them again before their wedding at the Bellevue next year.
Before I get too depressed thinking about that, let me share their engagement photography session in lush Wissahickon Valley Park (part of the Fairmount Park system). We started our adventures by Valley Green Inn.
I am really into their meeting/first date story. They met through a… um, mutual friend and were set up on a blind date. The plan was Bahama Breeze for dinner followed by a movie at King of Prussia. I am certain they would have had a great time if Cait hadn’t been two hours late, getting lost in the Bermuda Triangle of highways around there. Bob ate without her, packaged up some dinner for her and met her about 5 minutes before I Am Legend started. She insisted on another date and things went much better (I think he picked her up). They dated for two weeks before she was off to study abroad in Dublin and they continued their romance long distance for two years.
Their families were going to be together in Cape May over the holidays this past year. Cait’s sister mentioned to Bob that this would be a pretty good opportunity to pop the question (something that had been on his mind for a while). He asked her to take a stroll with him to place on the beach where they sit when they vacation to “make sure it’s still there after Hurricane Sandy”. Cait begrudgingly agreed. They arrived and while she was surveying the spot, Bob got down on one knee. He had it all captured by a stealthy photographer too (smart man!)
She calls him Ace and he calls her Rin. They both work very long hours on NYC but they make time for college football, TV, and lots of laughing.
Another year is too long from now but you’ll see them next June at their Philly wedding. I don’t know about you but I can’t wait!
