Collette + Chris engagement session around the Philadelphia Art Museum
Collette’s favorite color is green so you already know she’s good people. Chris smiles when he looks at Collette. They met back in 2005 while he was a network guy and she worked at the systems desk. He would bring Doritos to work, not because he particularly liked Doritos, but because Collette would come around and eat them. Their wedding colors will be based around 3 leaves she picked up during one of their first outings together. They are quirky and awesome and I love them.
We met on a chilly and windy day in February to wander around the Philadelphia Art Museum area for their e-session. Can I tell you how much I love what they wore? Collette didn’t get the chance to change into blue pumps (swoon!) but the preppy blazers and riding boots rocked my world. And that pop of color from her green scarf was icing on the cake! We started at the top of the steps with a great view of the Ben Franklin Parkway and glorious Philadelphia.
We walked down behind the building, stopping at Waterworks and getting some great views of the back of the museum.
Then we strolled along Philly’s famed Boathouse Row to make use of those awesome doors and a few sites.
We finished at the azalea garden. Not an azalea in sight but I’m completely digging the wintery feel and snowy ground.
Thank you so much for coming up from Virginia for the session! I can’t wait for the wedding at the Concordville Inn this October!
When you’re in love you never really know whether your elation comes from the qualities of the one you love, or if it attributes them to her; whether the light which surrounds her like a halo comes from you, from her, or from the meeting of your sparks.
